This Albuquerque spot may look simple from the outside, but inside it offers a warm and welcoming experience. The family owned charm, great hand cut ribeye special, and live music make it a standout. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Extremely local joint to get a burger that doesnt feel like youre eating fast food.
It is mostly burgers, but also chicken snd hot dogs. The difference between the mama and the papa is size. Lots of fried appetizers and sides.
Live music from locals is great.
Rustic decor, free refills at the soda machine, and free chips and salsa while you wait.

The food was good,the service was nice and quick but they need some signs to tell you what to do( ish) because if its your first time you don't know not to wait to be seated you go and order,pay then go sit down and wait for your name. The green chili is spicy good.

A Western style grill restaurant with freshly and nicely cooked patties for burgers, live music, and a really friendly and warm boss. Food is at a nice price. Recommended.

First of all, the food was amazing. While we were waiting for our food, the owner came by to say hi and talk and then gave us a little tour. He was super nice and gave us a little back story about the place before leaving us with our food. The atmosphere was cozy and filled with regulars that clapped everytime the lice singer finished a song. I'll definitely be coming back with more people!

WOW! What fresh, tasty, amazing lunch we had today!
The chicken was quite flavorful, moist, and a large piece.
The beans were also extremely tasty.
Onion rings...spot on!
Mushroom/Zucchini basket...we devoured it.
Beautiful vegetables at the burger condiment bar including light chips and flavorful salsa.
And incredible meal and such a value!
Definitely a repeat place!!!!
And a 16oz Riley w/baked potato for $29.95?!?!?!
We will definitely be back

A hidden gem in Albuquerque! Unassuming location in a shopping plaza but once you’ve gone through the doors it’s a different world. Follow the stars to place your order. A family friendly environment and a broad selection. The pride of a family owned business is apparent in the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. We discovered that Wednesday is hand-cut ribeye special night and the steaks were great! Live music was another surprise. Highly recommended!

My sister requested to eat here for her birthday had 11 people in our party and the staff was as amazing as the food. They allowed us to sit in a closed of section and never made us feel rushed. Great job THE GRILL we al agreed we will be back!

We have been going to the Grill for a while. The food is delicious! The staff is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcomed. The live music really makes makes each visit memorable. We love going to The Grill on San Mateo!
