The Mouse Hole Cheese Shop

I stopped in here out of curiosity after getting a bowl at La Finca and seeing the sign. I was immediately greeted with a piece of fresh cheese. Hearing the staff describe the different cheeses and complexities was wonderful. David has a real passion for cheese that was wonderful to experience. Unfortunately I only had limited time there, but I can’t wait to go back!

This place is 100 percent adorable as are the enthusiastic people in it. Expensive but you don't go to an imported cheese shop staffed by experts because you're hunting bargains now are you?

What a wonderful time! Knowledgeable owner was friendly and eager to share both his knowledge AND his newest cheeses 😋. A great selection of paired wines to. The whole experience was first class ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an amazing time while selecting cheeses for a charcuterie board catering we have this weekend. One of the only places in town we would trust our clients palettes with! Customer service was top notch and they did not mind our requests or the time spent catering to our needs even during the lunch hour. Absolutely wonderful experience - quiet place to rest, delicious food. Offers gluten free crackers. The snack plate is a good amount of food.

I was just introduced to this delightful little place. What I tasted. Blew me out of the water. If you like good cheese. Or just want to try a real taste of what cheese is. Run. Do not walk to this place. I am speechless. My taste buds are singing glory hallelujah !

Love this place!! The employees are so knowledgeable about cheese, and their passion clearly shows. I’ve been here 3 times, and every time they have recommended an excellent cheese along with a great pairing option. Mouse Hole is a true gem of ABQ and I highly recommend it.

The food here is so good! It's not cheap but completely worth it. The cheese selection is great and the meals are always a surprising blend of tasty flavors!

Besides being a wonderful cheese shop its an absolutely fantastic place for a healthy and delicious meal. I was here together with three colleagues
and we were looking for a place to have dinner and stumbled over the Mouse Hole on the web. We ordered in two of the pre-selected cheese boards, some great sardines and a few more interesting cheeses. They explained the origin of each cheese and how to enjoy it. The selection is worthy of a Michelin star restaurant and the cost is very reasonable. One of the better meals i had in a long time. Perfect couples date night place. Just note that they close early. Highly recommended to come around 5:30 pm to have time to fully enjoy it. We ended up spending about $200 incl tip for 4 persons and that included a bottle of Cotes du Rhone.. amazing value. The image is only the basic cheese board. Our meal was more than double of whats pictured.

This is a fantastic cheese store. Very good selection, and well informed cheese mongers. I was pleased and surprised to see they had some L’Etivaz Alpage, which is a very difficult cheese to find. The price was better than you can find it elsewhere, to boot! And the cheese mongers knew the entire history of why that cheese was not a Gruyere, so nobody there is an amateur for sure. Will be back again - maybe when I run out of the pound of cheese I bought!

Be sure to come with at least a twinge of hunger, they are generous with the samples!

Excellent cheese and wine selections. Sampling before purchasing is OK. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Cute location with fair amount of free street parking. Planning to go again soon!

We stopped in today for the first time to discover some new cheeses and our expectations were exceeded! The cheese monger was super knowledgeable about each variety and gave us samples of anything we wanted. We left with a giant bag of great cheeses to enjoy. We will be back for more cheese and to try the sandwiches, which looked amazing!

I love cheese I'm a cheese fanatic I love this place they weren't just welcoming respectful nice and caring they didn't judge me by my appearance they were very caring and loving people my new personal favorite is the buffalo cheese I highly recommend it
