Is this place still open? I tried to go there last weekend and again today and it was closed.
I was a KJ there for about 8 months. In the beginning, things were great. Environment was fun, kitchen was open, and I got paid at the end of my show. Fast forward to these past 2 months... management began started using Venmo to pay me. That's when the excuses began. Suddenly, the management "forgot" to pay me on time or they would come up with some other excuse. "Internet went out", "bank account got hacked", "switching banks" yet when the weekend came, everything worked mysteriously. Also, management would always advertise for their friday night event, but rarely advertised for karaoke night and then complained that we weren't getting busy. Kitchen has been closed for months now. Bathrooms are disgusting. Constantly out of beer. Saltyard has alot of potential. With different management, maybe it could be great.

This place used to be a fun atmosphere to hang out, the place is pretty much empty now on Fridays and Saturdays. It used to be packed. Within a year, under new management, this place has been falling off, taps are never working (beer selection is limited/not available most days) and bartenders are inconsistent (new faces every visit). It used to have food available, but they shut that down and stopped serving food.

Went for Cinco di Mayo, and there were literally 8 customers, no music, no atmosphere, just a huge empty space.Turned around and walked out.

I've never been here, so decided to go on a friday evening to visit with friends from out of town and it was embarrassing. The building itself is beautiful, you could tell someone had a great idea to incorporate a neat hang out spot but definitely needs new management or something. I thought it was closed at first, this place was deserted, there was trash eveywhere on the ground outside in the patio area. Cabana areas looked messy and trashed. Single sided bar was open, bartender wasn't attentive, we tried to get water and their canteen was empty. No food options. If you want to check it out sure, but better have second option in mind.

Went there with a group in the early afternoon. They weren't ready for customers...so why even open? There was crusty throw up on some of the chairs. And the food was awful. Won't be back.

we had an organized party there, hall was small, that was ok but chairs were bent, broken and people were sinking in the chair, hard to get up.
Salt yard is a unique space in Albuquerque. It’s a great place to hang out, but truly just a bar. Could use some fixing and some more consistent programming/hours. Never seems to be open when driving past. Would be a great space for families on a weekend afternoon with lots of space to run around.

There was only pizza available, drinks were served in plastic cups, TVs were too loud. Prices for drinks were reasonable. This place is big and doesn't feel cozy. But that's only my personal opinion.
