It's okay, very convenient location. The food was average at best and if you have something on display it should be the actual meal not the things that cost extra.

Company cafeteria, good food, kinda high prices for a company subsidized cafeteria. Looks like cafeteria inside. Cheap plastic furniture

Lunch was good! I don't often go to Thunderbird, but I had a chance to have lunch with a coworker.

When I go, I'm always intrigued by their sandwich of the day. They something on the grill, each day, that's unique and always very delicious.

Having been to a lot of DOE site's on-site cafeterias, I can say this one is fantastic.

For a workplace eatery, this place is pretty awesome. Their daily options are good and their specials are usually fun and tasty. Really responsive to requests and suggestions. Sometimes add-ons seems a little pricy, but the standard prices are reasonable.

Vegetarian options: Many, plus salad bar

Dietary restrictions: They allow full customization

We enjoy the view from the restaurant. We visited Santa Fe for an overnight trip and decided to eat at the restaurant. We both enjoyed the steak & enchiladas and the silver angel drink (Margarita with Tito” vodka). The view was great from the balcony! Snow on the Plaza and Christmas lights for the holidays.

This is the first review I ever wrote, but I felt the need to do this in order to save others from the terrible experience we encountered while dining at Thunderbird bar & grill!!!! Our server Clarissa was very unprofessional, & incredibly rude! She had the AUDACITY to chase us downstairs and ask my boyfriend for her tip and told us that she doesn’t forget faces & to never ever come back to her restaurant since we didn’t tip her! He thought gratuity was already included but i guess it wasn’t. We have gone to numerous restaurants and have never been treated in this manner. She should either quit, get fired and let someone competent take over. We will never be back. We have never been so completely disrespected in our life.

The service was excellent. Food was average. We really liked our waiter. I ordered an old fashion which was not exciting. My husband had the Thunderbird punch which he enjoyed. We were disappointed with the calamari it came out as a heaping plate, but was mixed with various fried vegetables. I'm guessing this is a fun location in the summer since it has a balcony that looks out over the plaza.

Better than a McDonald's or a Chick-fil-A, but I'd never go except it's a far too convenient location and there aren't really any other options nearby.

Parking: There technically is a parking lot, but if you're not there before 6am, there's little chance you'll find an open space. It's really just Sandia general parking, nothing reserved for the cafeteria. Maybe after lunch once some of the extra early birds have headed home you'll find an open slot.
