Our family stopped in for a quick bite on a visit to see our son at unm. I haven't been to twisters in 15 years. The store is clean and well-staffed and the service was slow but attentive. We visited several weeks ago and I tried a burrito that was one of their specials Sabrina was excellent with carne asada chopped green chili and potatoes.

I feel that Twisters is at times underrated. While they may be known for their Twister burritos, they have a delicious new Scorpion Chicken Sandwich I got last time. This time I got their Shredded Beef Burrito with red chile, and it did not disappoint. I also love their hot and fresh curly fries, as they do not have the seasoning that is found in others, just salt. They also serve breakfast all day long.

Their service is good and their burritos are decent, but not worth the price. Over the last year it seems their prices have increased, but the sizes of the burritos have gone down significantly and contain less meat and chile than they used to. I hope they improve soon because there’s nothing like a really good twisters burrito when it’s done right.
