Saggio's is one of my favorite places for a quick and inexpensive Italian meal. Today, I had the meat lasagna with a ceasar salad on the side. The food was good as usual, and this place has a pretty laid-back feel to it. Except for the chair maintenance dude that is pounding on the chairs nearby as I'm eating. 😆 That is pretty annoying, and I feel this type of work should have been done during non-business hours. Nevertheless, it was a good dining experience. I'm sure the chair thing is quite rare...

Nice people work here. Really love their food too! Pizza always great, but we tried one of their paninis recently and it was just delicious!

Was very busy but the food was amazing. Staff was helpful, some of the patrons were rowdy.

Ordered online to make sure it was ready by a certain time. Pizza wasn't even started by the time we arrived to pick it up. Not busy at all but they weren't too concerned about having it ready on time.

Small portion for the price. If you sit at the bar, your food will be taken to you, otherwise, you have to pick it up yourself.

Saggio’s uptown has some serious managerial issues. I have been a patron of the location at University for years and brought my son to the uptown location to eat last week. The staff seemed to be comprised of mostly young high school kids and my ordering experience was great. The young man who helped was efficient and polite. It wasn’t until my order was ready and I walked up to the counter that I realized the manager on duty was verbally berating the young man at the counter for not bagging my order properly. He was very abusive to this young man and didn’t stop yelling at him when I walked up to get my order. Not only did the manager (Matt) continue to yell at the young man in front of me, not once did he acknowledge I was standing there for my food. He just walked away after yelling at this young man in front of me. I was embarrassed for this employee and felt terrible to have witnessed an employee treated that way.The young man seemed equally embarrassed and couldnt make eye contact and he appologized. I stayed to eat my order and witnessed this manager being abrasive and just plain rude to several employees. This is totally unlawful to verbally abuse your employees let alone right in front of a customer with no explanation or apology. I tried getting ahold of the GM and actually drove right back to the store to discuss the issue with Frank who I was told was the general manager and he had already left for the day. I left a message for call back and have yet to hear anything. I have a teenager at home and if someone spoke to or treated my child the way this manager treated his employees I would be filing legal action. For any business to allow this kind of behavior is abhorrent and I will never be a patron of this business again. I suggest you think twice about visiting this company and supporting them.

The Saggios at Uptown is not near as good as the Saggios on Central and Cornell. If you want good food from Saggios, go to Central. I ordered a Calzone from Uptown and it was 10% of the quality you get at Central. At Central you get nice bread, lots of cheese and the ingredients are cooked correctly.

This experience was at the bar, and it was splendid. The happy hour was great for brews after work and their giant TV will keep you entertained. I usually order the same things over at the UNM location and the quality is consistent, fresh, and worth every penny!

I was on business in Albuquerque and stopped by to get a pizza. It was so good, that I returned the next night for dinner! I had the potato gnocchi in Marinara sauce and a garden salad. Both meals were delicious. The best part was the cheesecake for dessert. The staff was friendly and polite. I will stop in again when in town.

This is now on my ‘not to miss’ list of restaurants in Albuquerque!! I had the meatball focaccia sandwich with Caesar salad. Best meatballs I’ve had since living in Chicago! Stuffed myself because it was so flavorful & the focaccia was nice & crisp on the edges & chewy inside. I dipped each bite in a marinara sauce that was also excellent. Caesar salad was crispy & loaded with shaved parmesan & and delicious Caesar dressing. Husband’s sausage, cheese & mushroom calzone was excellent. He’s also taking 1/2 of his home. These could easily have been shared. We stopped here around 3pm.
Clean restaurant & restrooms. This is a walk-up counter to order. Friendly staff. Dough & focaccia are made by a baker. We will definitely come here next month when we’re back for the balloon fest.

We tried again,...last time we were here burnt pizza, gave it some time and came back. We waited 45 minutes for a calzone , first one burnt, second one burnt. C'mon Saggios you can do better. Unfortunately it seems to be a trend.

We ordered through DoorDash... Not only did all the toppings slide to one corner but they completely forgot the spaghetti and salad,.. so not sure if it was Saggios or the driver... In fact, we have had so many issues with DoorDash, you guys should consider changing to GrubHub to do your deliveries!
