Passing through Albuquerque on our way home to AZ, we checked Trip Advisor for a place to eat & found Vic’s. They only do breakfast and lunch and the place was packed on a Monday about noon. I had the tostada salad with shredded beef. It was delicious. My husband had chicken fried steak and eggs and was extremely happy with it. It was a huge serving and better than any he had on a recent trip to Texas. The server was cheerful and prompt and happily gave me my iced tea in a to go cup for the rest of our journey.

My experience at Vic's Daily Cafe this time around after 2 years was not like the first time. My server was the best she was hella cool. I ordered carne adobada. (My favorite) and the crispy tacos. The carne adobada was good but they plate it with everything all on one plate which makes it greasy and unappealing it came with rice,beans,eggs and hashbrown also an enormous amount of unnecessary cheese. It was a pile of grease and mush I was not happy or satisfied. Try to order everything separately and even the cheese on the side so that you can control how you would like your food. They have the worst rice I've ever had period! It's hard and cooked the worst way possible, they suck for that! Worst of all I love crispy tacos and these were nasty stale hard shell tacos 🌮 don't order the crispy tacos. I'm Mexican and my standards are very high we love fresh hard shell tacos. I'm also a cook! These tacos were so stale that the crunch didn't even crumble. I was so upset 😡 I did complain, she didn't even try to offer something else. She is pregnant so I didn't want to stress her out because she was cool. If you're a famous and passionate person about your restaurant you should always check the quality of your food, the freshness, the bang for your buck. Eat at your own restaurant and see for yourself to prevent negative comments and experiences like this one. I care about what I serve my family and others. That should be a must every where. Food should be fresh and made with hella love ❤️ be passionate be mindful. Will I go back? Yes, but only for 1 item the carne adobada and I will prepare the fixings on the side at my house. DON'T ORDER THE CRISPY TACOS THEY ARE STALE AND THEY SUCK! DON'T ORDER THE RICE IT'S THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD AT ANY RESTAURANT!!! Don't be discouraged to try their food everyone is different with taste buds.

Vic’s is incredible! I got the daily special, the Navajo Huevos Rancheros, and it did not disappoint. I think I heard you can order this any time as a “secret menu” item.
While the food was great and the service was great, what impressed me most was the speed. Despite being packed with Balloon Fiesta traffic, our food came out so much faster than I anticipated. I was with a group of 7, and our food was ready within 10 minutes. I was expecting to wait 20-30 like I do at other breakfast joints.
Highly recommend Vic’s! I will definitely be returning in the future.

This place has a wait every weekend! That alone tells you how good the food is! I had the chicken fried steak, it comes with egg, hashbrowns and peppers. The steak is HUGE! and delicious, it comes with a light batter.
Great spot recommended by the rental car customer service agent. Went after the morning balloon session, short wait before lunch. Thankful they were serving lunch items before 11 as we were still on East coast time. Recommend the green chile burger, Oriental salad, and the meatloaf.
