This place is incredible. I've been coming here for twenty years and I'm still coming back. Today it was very busy but the service was still top notch, and my food was excellent as always! I usually get breakfast but today I had a new Mexican combination plate and it was absolutely stellar! The baked goods are also always so so yummy but the generous portion sizes sometimes make it difficult to save room.

Excellent food and service. One of the few places I’ve been to where the owner comes out and visits. The most amazing atmosphere!!

Me & my Husband ate here & it just felt like a homey atmosphere. The food was beyond good 💯👈 I would highly highly recommend. We ate at Garcia's earlier & their chips are hard & the hamburger meat was the frozen kind -- an here everything was handmade. The chips & salsa was delicious. Our hamburger was handmade & fresh 🤩
Will be recommending this restaurant to our kids & family 👌😊

Walked in and almost immediately got drinks and chips and salads ordered. The ambience was very New Mexico homey. The menu is just like a good old diner with everything you could want. Got the ribeye steak medium rare, with charr. Steak came out pretty fast and was delicious! Nice and tender with good pockets of juicy fat. The steak came with some Texas toast, soup or salad and a potato. Would definitely come back!

Greatest customer service I've ever experienced. Stopped in this morning after church and the staff was super friendly and inviting. Very nice people and very attentive. My coffee was never empty. The fantastic pancakes were just a bonus. I highly recommend this place and hope to be back soon.

The Western View Restaurant is directly on old Route 66. It was exactly what I was looking for. In town for business, some native Albuquerquesians (Albuquercians? Albuquacks?) had me overdosed on Hatch Green Chile everything. I had dined in several craft brew houses and wineries, repleat with foreign influence, fusions and excellent pairings. I knew it was time for some old style highway food. And the Western View looked like the perfect spot. On a drizzly Saturday night, it was not crowded. The waitress greeted me warmly, and just naturally called me Honey. This is feeling right. I came for a no frills steak dinner and that is what I got. I started with a cup of lamb stew, which was tender and delicious ( not unexpectedly, it did have a little chili in there somewhere ). Then a simple house salad, baked potatoe ( you could have fries or mashed ) and a 16 oz, fat rimmed rib steak. I asked for mine to slightly past medium, with some char. It was perfect. Exquisitely paired with Liptons Iced Tea, what more could one ask for? You know you are downhome when the waitress just naturally calls you Honey and keeps your tea glass filled. Nostalgia at its finest, and good food to boot.

We had a nice, fairly priced, meal here. The atmosphere was traditional, with some original decor. It sits directly next to the Route 66 neon overpass sign.

Wow! What a great surprise! After a long day of hiking, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. We sat outside. Juanita was our waitress and fantastic! I had the ribeye with green chili pork soup, green beans, fresh bread (we chose the dark bread)and veggy medley, all homemade and very fresh. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. That soup was soooooo good! Kevin had the Prime Rib special, though good, we agreed I ordered better this time. More food than we could eat. Very healthy portions and reasonably priced for the meal. I would eat here even if I were not staying at the hotel.
