Good food, accommodated a large party and was flexible on arrival time. We arrived 20 mins before reservations and were able to quickly accommodate the time change. Service was excellent and food was too!

So so happy that Zinc is back! This is my third visit since reopening and every experience has been phenomenal! I especially appreciate the new gluten friendly cauliflower bread option ?

My date particularly enjoyed her truffle chicken entrée, and my Steak Frites were quite good though not as flavorful as I had hoped. Their suggestion for a Temperanillo was a disappointment, and I would have probably been better served to order a glass of the Jack London. One thing that is alluring about Zinc, is that their bottles of wine list includes the very cultish and hard-to-find but always delicious Zinfandels from Turley.

Had a really great experience dining here with my wife. The hostess was very helpful and kind despite us arriving late for our reservation and even gave us parking tips for next time.We ordered the lamb and steak frites both of which were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our server Bailie made great recommendations and was very attentive. Our wait for the food was appropriate and the view of the kitchen from the loft provided great insight into the well oiled machine the chef maintains.Looking forward to dining here again.

Chris Pope is an outstanding Chief and Zinc is one of the Very best restaurants in New Mexico. We are so glad they have reopened. We had not been there since befog COVID. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Overall, a great dinner with friends experience! Don't sit up in the loft area if you are susceptible to migraines, the lights cause a strobe effect that makes fast movements and reading uncomfortable, we were moved downstairs where the lighting was much better. The food was good but the wine prices were a lot higher than expected. I would definitely go back.

This was our second dinner at Zinc. We began with a cocktail for me (Positive Balance, quite good) and a glass of wine for my wife. My wife had the blue corn squash relleno that she said was delicious. I had the lamb. My entree was cooked to order and was quite good. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with our dinners, and, to not overdo the alcohol, we had half of the bottle and took the rest home. We split their spinach, blood orange, and beet salad. My one negative was that the salad hardly had any beet and only a miniscule piece of orange. Service was excellent and were never felt rushed.

First time back to Zinc since the extended pandemic closure.Service:Our server, Sabina, was extraordinary - friendly, helpful, attentive without hovering. 5+ stars. The bartender made a great wine recommendation. Good people.Atmosphere:I think some reviews are talking about the Cellar downstairs, which is everything you want from a cozy dark space with the best late night hot food you can get. Haven't been down there since the reopening.Upstairs is not cozy: it's a big space, very tastefully decorated, with an exhibition kitchen and an upstairs mezzanine that's very nice. Everything about the atmosphere is 5 stars except the noise level. There were multiple large groups dining and, as the evening wore on, the volume level was threshold of pain. Hence 4 stars.Food:Ah, well. Hit and miss. Appetizers were onion soup and duck eggrolls. The broth in the onion soup was so mild that the melted Gruyere on top dominated, and it wasn't a very good flavor for a soup. Not worth finishing. The duck eggrolls - a long time staple of the late-night dining downstairs - were their usual very good. Recommended. We started with a Provencal rose by the glass, and that was great. We were both, unusually, in a beef mood, so we ordered a bottle recommended by the bartender: an Italian Barbera that was well suited to beef without getting in the way. Great recommendation. For the beef, I chose the baseball-cut and my companion chose the beef tenderloin. I'll get this out there up front: the tenderloin was absolutely amazing - more than either of us expected. Well seared and well dialed-in to the rare/medium-rare ordered. Served with some spunky blue-cheese mashed potatoes, it was up among the most memorable meals ever. Now, baseball is a difficult cut to cook well - very lean center of the top sirloin, none of the marbling that make prime rib and ribeye so forgiving. It's really thick, which is why baseball cut is a great candidate for reverse sear or even sous vide.Ordered medium rare, it came out nicely seared but cooked to medium well: tough, dry, and not worth finishing. I don't know why you would put such a difficult cut on the menu - let alone charge $40 for it - if you don't know how to cook it.Will we go back again? Sure - if they let us after this review :) There were other things on the menu - like a chicken dish and the mussels special - that we'd like to try.

Service was wonderful and all our choices of food (seas bass, lamb loin, steak frites, lobster ravioli) were excellent. The restaurant is lovely but the noise level is high - a bit hard to have a conversation cross table with the 6 of us. Despite this one negative, we will definitely be back.

We loved the beet salad followed by the Atlantic salmon entree as well as the sea bass entree special. Seating upstairs was quiet and nice atmosphere. Server was busy but kept up good service. We will go again.

Glad Zinc is back open finally, and many others are too. We hope they expand the hours in the Cellar Bar to more normal bar/lounge hours and bring back live music.

What a gem! We are big foodies and have traveled extensively. Decided to go to Zinc last minute and enjoyed every minute. Sabina provided exceptional service, and the drinks and entire meal exceeded expectations! Well worth visiting Zinc if you are in Albuquerque!

Solid place. Been coming here for years, always downstairs at the bar (there is a decent size restaurant at the street level). Good service, friendly staff, good bar food as well as full menu, and tasty cocktails. Happy hour too!!! Wish they had live music again. Cool jazz bar ambiance. The only missing piece is a cool jazz band. Still, I love the place. Cheers.

I gave it 2 stars bc the wine was delicious and our server was good. But the food was awful!!! Very disappointing. Also disappointed that there is no longer live music downstairs (cellar bar). Still a good atmosphere.
