Food was good, but options were confusing. When making a choice online of where to go we choose Vi's, but when we got there they said a different name (seems like one place for breakfast and lunch and something else for dinner). That wouldn't have been too big of a deal except we couldn't order what we wanted. On top of that, they were also out of one of the items we wanted that should have been available. The people were nice and the fried mushrooms were fantastic. Overall we liked the place, but it was more confusing than I liked or expected.
PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO.Hard to give it anything more. This was a part of a package of a sleigh ride and steak dinner. The dinner was the worst part. We all had steak except for the kids, who had tenders. Vi's restaurant was less than, in every category. When we got there, they were closed, but since we had a reservation through the sleigh tour they had to wait for us. They had two (2) people to cook, serve and wait on a party of 16. Needless to say the service we got suffered as a result. Additionally, the kids' tenders were hardly worth $40 (which is what you end up paying regardlessfor the child dinner, those were a 7.99 kind of thing). The "steak dinner" was also not great. The ribeyes were about 50% fat and gristle, and the potatoes were tiny..as in palm of the hand tiny. The salad was a laughable little thing on a 6" plate. The corn on the cob was mushy. Our drink selection included tap water and unsweet tea, period. I think that one of our pitchers was one that was unwashed from a previous table some 2 hours prior to our arrival (we saw it half filled before we sat, the server came for it halfway through our meal and filled it, then served it to us). The server looked like he had fallen on hard times and was recruited an hour before from the streets of L.A. (sorry, but hygiene in a restaurant is imperative, and he had little to none visually and was an insult to the olfactory sense). I'd skip the dinner. The service here did not match the service from the tour.
I booked a sleigh ride and steak dinner with Road Runner Tours. The steak dinner was here at Vi’s. The staff was super friendly and their food was homemade. We even had yummy desserts.
Wow completely blown away. First of all this lady runs the entire place. Arlene is the; Greeter at the door, waitress taking ur order, and also cooks one of the best burgers I’ve eaten. Definitely 5 star service and food, hats off to you Ma’am.
My favorite is their beef Navajo taco. Their hamburgers and fries are really good too. You do need to check to see if they are open as they have limited days and hours.
Ginormous burgers! Super delicious. Perfect place to stop after a day of mountain biking. You will leave very full ready for another day of riding. Really good hole in the wall place.
I WAS ROBBED! I Will NEVER GO BACK! They charged waaaay more than the price on the menu. I get that prices are going up, but what I see on the menu is what I should be charged. Don't hit me after the fact. Change the price, copy them, and throw the old ones away. It is not that hard. I admit the burgers were good, but it is about service and honesty. Come on....be honest. Check out my receipt and the price on the menu. Does that look like a 12.99 patty melt? Nope! Was the Cowboy 14.99 like it said on the menu? Nope again. Menu says sweet tea, and they don't really have that. "We dont really have it, but we have sweetener on the table. " Then pull it off the menu...not the same. More lies...all lies. And a single can of coke for $2. Get real. I still tipped after being robbed because I don't know who robbed me...owner or waitress, but sure does mean I will never go back.
Wife and I wanted a burger and we heard they were good. We decided to share one cause they're bi. When my wife cut it in half it was raw meat! Didn't even cook it a minute on either side. French fries had so much grease on them you can see it rolling off the fries. Need to say we walked out then. Don't go here!
GIANT bacon cheeseburger and great house cut fries! All 4 in our group loved their burger. Service was prompt and food was great! Will definitely return.
Greeted quickly, got drinks quickly, order taken when drinks came. Waited 45 minutes for a cheese burger and 2 taco plates. Burger was ready, they missed the taco plates and we're leaving the burger & fries to sit while they made the taco plates. Who wants cold burger & fries? No the burger was piping hot when the cook put it up for waitress to deliver but 5 min in window ended that. It was a large burger, good meat fresh veggies, but would have been ever so much better hot. Taco plates awful, Shells not crisp, very tough to bite. Meat was a burger patties fried & chopped, not even salt & pepper. Now, salsa exceptional with house made chips. $43 & change for meals, chips/salsa & a diet coke. This is about same around Angel Fire.

A Burger place for Burger people. Great cheeseburger with no pretentious overdo that you usually get from new trendy burger places. This is a great old school burger joint. Oh they do have other food as well but they do great burgers. Wifey had the BLT W/Fried egg and loved it also.
The burgers and fries were great! I highly recommend that if you are in the Angel Fire area, to plan to eat at Vi’s.
I’m town for some work during the off season here, so we were lucky to find this gem. This place was packed during lunch and the 2 ladies working it were friendly and workin hard. Our group got 2 burgers, the taco plate and the tortilla burger(pictured above)Everything was very tasty. I had the tortilla burger. Great cross between a burger and a quesadilla. Red sauce was awesome, heard it was homemade. Huge amount of meat. Portions were great for the price. Fries were good as well. Burgers were HUGE and the guy with the tacos said they were good as well.Overall a great meal and would recommend.
HUGE hamburgers and excellent food! Locally owned and having some challenge with getting help - so be patient or go home. Owner will do her best to make it a great meal. If you haven't tried a slopper, you need to try Vi's.
We are visiting from OK and have been here for four days. This is by far THE BEST restaurant we have been to since arriving. Service was friendly and fast (considering there's only one server). The food was absolutely phenomenal and our group of six ordered a variety of items. I can't speak highly enough of this establishment.
