Loved it! Food was delicious and the staff are so friendly. I had the catfish and it was so good and my husband had the fried chicken and he really enjoyed it. This will be our spot to come and eat when we make our yearly trip out here.

Big Daddy's was an unexpected surprise tonight. This town where big daddy's is located is an absolute hidden gem! The whole feel to Cloudcroft is this cozy, dreaming resort, ski town. The businesses all put their heads together to create a magical place where there are everything from sundry stores to acute log cabin church, to strip malls that are decorated in a log cabin style, feeling with rustic signage, Christmas lights everywhere and they even adorn the driving path with lit snow snowflakes. One thing that made me laugh was there is a hardware store with 101 Dalmatians decorating it out front! So back to big daddy's, you walk in and it is a wonderful local feel to this place, rustic design, super friendly staff, the foods brought out quickly, and it was hot and fresh a huge menu of items to choose from!! There is plenty of parking and lots of space to sit, including a bar area. We ordered the fried pickles - they were outstanding! I had the triple chicken tacos soft and hard shell they were homemade tortillas and shells and just delicious! The French dip was also ordered to our table and was huge order with onion rings. Soooo tasty! 5 stars!

YIKES!!! If you encounter her at your restaurant, lock the doors!! Literally Satan in a snow suit. My permanent scowl, was because I broke my glasses right as I got out of my vehicle arriving at work. I couldn't see good and was squinting all night. The face I was born with so cant help you there. I had just arrived and was helping your waiter as he was busy at the front register. As for slamming your plates down, you grabbed them from me and handed them out..as I asked who had what. You asked for Tartar after I had left and was serving a different table, I did say loudly that I would get your waiter, Im naturally loud and was busy. The couple that you said I yelled at sat right next to you....again Im loud. I walked past them several times, they were at a dirty table. I asked if they needed anything else, and they replied they hadn't been waited on. I said probably cuz your at a dirty table and everyone is busy. (Im loud) Did someone seat you? You should have enjoyed your meal, the food is really good. And everyone including the owners work really hard to make it so. When you walked up to the front to pay, you told off the waitress that had taken you menus to help your waiter...she was already off the clock, but you told her she was a terrible waitress since she never went back to your table. In case you really do in fact think there is no teamwork, she stayed after her shift to help get things in order and cleaned up even though she had been there for an extremely busy day handling the entire restaurant all by herself since 6am. We have 3 dining areas, and all were full of large parties. Maybe let us know when you are back in town and the Chamber of Commerce can throw you a parade for being most entitled customer.
By the way, while you were looking for reasons to be awful to everyone around you your kids left jelly squashed all over the table. Peace The old lady w red hair.

My family of four came in on 11-24 around 3pm while we were staying at a cabin up the mountain. We thought this diner would be a cute little stop but wow.... its been awhile since I've had service this bad.
The older woman with the red hair and permanent scowl was just unbelievably rude. She literally slammed our plates of food on the table without a word and when I politely tried to ask for some tator sauce, she cut me off mid sentence to make it clear that she wasnt my server. Another couple walked in after us and I could hear her yelling across the restaurant at them for unknowingly seating themselves. She was just so rude and unpleasant we didnt even enjoy our meal.
If youre trying to enjoy the peaceful scenery of Cloudcroft and what it has to offer, this place will definitely ruin the vibe. There was zero teamwork, zero warmth and from the moment we walked in we could feel the animosity and overall displeasure from the staff.
Zero recommendations and save your $75 bucks like we wish we had. We ended up getting some extra food at a taco cantina down the street were the service and vibes were a total 180.
