Mad Jack's Mountaintop Barbecue

Food was just okay. Definitely not satisfied given the hour wait to order. Unclear why there was a chopped option for the brisket but okay, it wasn’t bad. There was only one type of bbq sauce that did not work with all meat options. Bread was not provided. We didn’t get the sides we ordered so not sure if those were any good.
Blueberry cobbler was good.
Service was ok, there were some signs on the wall that made it feel unfriendly - apparently asking questions is frowned upon (not sure what that’s about). It was loud so ordering was a little difficult and there was only cashier/order taker.
Food was okay but overall disappointing given the high rating. Or we are just spoiled from the Texas bbq we are used to.

I forgot about the hour long wait. It is to DIE for!!! Great service and great food!!! Dino Ribs for the win!!! Sandwiches are also fire!!!!! Thanks Mad Jacks!!!

Anybody that complains about the line, don't deserve to eat here. This was by far the best BBQ I have ever had hands down. Nice gem to find in a small town.

The BBQ was the best I ever had, and the owner was so down to earth and awesome he came out and shook everyone's hand before they opened. The line is long but so worth it.

Always a great meal here, and the staff is very friendly. Be prepared to wait, but it is worth it!

2 hour wait and nobody was inside eating. extremely slow service. there should not be a wait when the food is already cooked.just a gimmick to show how slow service can be . not even a one star. an allsups burrito across the street would be better. sorry. Just give ppl their food and go . it's easy. never go again. most ppl in line were not impressed and won't go back.

Brisket says it all. I hate Mac & cheese but take home a quart to freeze. We come very early, sit on a bench and make new friends.

We got a couple briskets and all the sides to feed our branding crew. Jack was very accommodating and let me pick it all up early. The brisket was great and well worth the drive to pick it up.

Food was great, service was better. Amanda (I think) blonde girl doing side dishes was amazing. Such a sweetheart and so fast. I wish I could have talked longer. She's the best.

This is my number one pick for BBQ. The Dino Rib is amazing! The staff has been very nice every time I have been. I am solely basing my experience on the quality of the food and service, I cannot speak for my dog like someone else posted, lol. But then again, I don't need to bring my dog with me everywhere.
I highly recommend taking the journey to Cloudcroft for Mad Jack's alone. The little town has so much to offer, Mad Jack's is my top reason to visit!

We drive all the way from El paso texas to eat here it is one of the best BBQ PLACES hands down. The food is phenomenal and also get there when they open, it will sell out fast. The staff are great and friendly. So for the el paso people go here, it's worth the drive and the change of scenery.

You'll wait in line for the best BBQ in the west! Food is definitely worth the wait! Oddly enough, they review with 1star lower down was also they day I was there. Their dogs barked at people and interrupted the live music and they left a 1star blaming the business? All the staff was incredibly nice....no reason for that review!
