Mad Jack's Mountaintop Barbecue

2 hour wait and nobody was inside eating. extremely slow service. there should not be a wait when the food is already cooked.just a gimmick to show how slow service can be . not even a one star. an allsups burrito across the street would be better. sorry. Just give ppl their food and go . it's easy. never go again. most ppl in line were not impressed and won't go back.

Brisket says it all. I hate Mac & cheese but take home a quart to freeze. We come very early, sit on a bench and make new friends.

We got a couple briskets and all the sides to feed our branding crew. Jack was very accommodating and let me pick it all up early. The brisket was great and well worth the drive to pick it up.

Food was great, service was better. Amanda (I think) blonde girl doing side dishes was amazing. Such a sweetheart and so fast. I wish I could have talked longer. She's the best.

This is my number one pick for BBQ. The Dino Rib is amazing! The staff has been very nice every time I have been. I am solely basing my experience on the quality of the food and service, I cannot speak for my dog like someone else posted, lol. But then again, I don't need to bring my dog with me everywhere.
I highly recommend taking the journey to Cloudcroft for Mad Jack's alone. The little town has so much to offer, Mad Jack's is my top reason to visit!

We drive all the way from El paso texas to eat here it is one of the best BBQ PLACES hands down. The food is phenomenal and also get there when they open, it will sell out fast. The staff are great and friendly. So for the el paso people go here, it's worth the drive and the change of scenery.

You'll wait in line for the best BBQ in the west! Food is definitely worth the wait! Oddly enough, they review with 1star lower down was also they day I was there. Their dogs barked at people and interrupted the live music and they left a 1star blaming the business? All the staff was incredibly nice....no reason for that review!

Take me back to Texas! Got a sliced brisket sandwich - loaded with delicious brisket. And, the best surprise - Big Red. Texas BBQ and Big Red = Heaven!

It's not often that you find a place that serves up a fantastic meal like mad Jack's at a reasonable price.
And the cornbread was off the hook !!

Very good food made by great and friendly people. The only downside is that they have limited supply and everyone loves em so they run out fast!

Worth the wait to try the recommended spot in Cloudcroft thanks to the boarder patrol for the tips and advice. Spend nearly hundred bucks but with the food quality and it’s legit, I didn’t hesitate to eat all of it and get tired afterwards. What a well place for me to eat after completing the Mexican trestle trail and osha trail. ?

Got there at 10am and the line was long already! Definitely worth the wait. Everything we ordered was amazing, but the brisket was incredible. Don’t forget you ask for a “Dino rib bone” for your dog!! Will definitely come back!!!
