It does my heart good to see a small town brewery packed to the gills on a Friday night. It’s not just a case of there not being alternatives. In the case of Bandolero Brewing, it was because it is just that good. I only partook of their brewing excellence, because I had already noshed on Thai food elsewhere, but from the looks of the bar and tables throughout this spacious brewpub, the food is just as good.I had been wanting to make a beer run to Eastern New Mexico for a long time, yet never quite got around to it. It’s too easy to let the close ones slip off the radar. But opportunity presented itself, and I headed southwest for what is scarcely an hour journey to Clovis.I went with a flight as per my usual M.O. I opted to go wide, with my beers varied in style. Starting with New Mexico IPA (7.4% ABV), I followed with Sidewinder Kölsch (4.5% ABV), Main Street Bock (7.1% ABV), and High Noon IPA (7.6% ABV). Both of the IPAs were very approachable and flavorful, not so hoppy as to leave a beer frown at the end. The Kölsch would make for a delightful hot summer day refreshment, and the Bock is certainly apropos for the Spring season. And since they have both 32-ounce and 64-ounce growlers available, I went with the big one and had it filled with my top pick of the four, the High Noon IPA. It was about then I spied the handy insulated Bandolero growler tote, which at $12 was a no-brainer on multiple levels. It hangs off the back of your vehicle’s head rest, making for safe travel, as well as natural refrigeration on chilly Spring nights. I will be using this for a long time to come. All told, I had a very enjoyable experience, and also managed to do some writing as well. This one goes in the W column.

Tremendous beer, people, and food. Highly recommend stopping by. You can't go wrong grabbing a burger and beer here.

The food was mediocre and expensive. Paid way over $220 for 6 people because 20% gratuity was added. And then to top it off we asked for military discount for 2 veterans and my nephew who is going on deployment and it was a whole $2.10 discounted off the bill. And they had the audacity to display on the wall a tribute to the military. This was a disappointment and a disgrace! Thanks but Im going back to Texas where we support our military with 10% and way better appreciation. And the frito pie is better!

I like this place. The night we visited there wasn’t live music, but there was music playing. The place was clean and had a casual vibe. The food was good. The beer was good too but I prefer it to be colder than it was. My complaint was with the server who seated us and took our drink order. She looked and acted very stressed out which came off as pretty rude. It was kind of strange because they weren’t really that busy. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but it’s never acceptable to be rude to customers. A different server took our food order and brought it to our table, and she was very nice. Overall, I think it’s a cool brew pub and I definitely recommend it!

Great place from the point of walking in to walking out. Just what I want out of a cozy but relevant local brewery. Excellent service and food too. Got the boneless wings with mango habanero. Flight of beers to wash it down. Excellent, you guys, thank you.

All good things!!! The pickle beer is the most amazing beer on the planet. I’m always adding beer salt to drinks but this stuff is perfect exactly as is. They have awesome jugs they refill for you too! You can ask to try a drink of whatever you want before ordering a whole one too. The atmosphere is fun, comfortable and the staff is top notch.

First time here. There is parking in front of and side of building. Very open and spacious. Staff was friendly. They had a lot of beer options and about 5 ciders to choose from. Side salad with blue cheese dressing was very good. Buffalo chicken sandwich was very spicy but good!

Enjoyed dinner here on a Thursday evening. Good beer selection, and the 3 we tried all get a thumbs up: New Mexico IPA, Sidewinder Kolsch, English Class. Food was good, but not great. Spacious dining/drinking area, good place to watch the football game.

Not a beer drinker but love bar food. They also have a nice selection, not big, of wine. The atmosphere is great as is the food.

One of my new favorite places to eat in Clovis. Atmosphere is open, low light, very comfortable. Staff was very friendly; we came with our kids on a trivia night and the hostess made sure to let us know there could be some questionable words and phrases, so that we weren't caught off guard.Food was absolutely delicious. My husband had a burger, and I had the brisket relleno. Kids chicken tender comes with southern gravy as well, which was a delicious change from your normal kids menu! Husband loved his beer so much, we also got a growler to take home and refill when we come back, which I am hoping will be soon!
