Most of the food was very good. I just thought the pork roast was over-done and dry. My favorite was the beef and vegetable soup. 🍲

We found out about this place on a whim while passing through. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Impressive because they were super busy! My husband got the T-bone steak and it was perfect! Seriously, one of the best steaks we’ve had. I had the fried chicken and it was super crispy and just perfect! The green beans and beef stew were sooo stinkin good. My husband also loved the Banana pudding! Very clean and cozy little restaurant. I loved the charm and of course the food. What a wonderful place!

You know those stories from truck drivers who say they found amazing, small local restaurants on the road? This is one of them. Great parking for semi trucks, campers, and regular cars. Amazing food, top notch service. Give their half pound burger a try, it's the best burger I've ever had in a restaurant.

Service was awesome, but the omelette let me down my friends. I'm sorry but I don't believe that Clovis doesn't know how to melt cheese in an omelettte. I was sitting 12 feet from the kitchen but the food was cold and a little flat. The portion was not worth 16.00 dollars but it did come with toast and hash browns, and coffee. This area is depressing. Nothing further.

I love the atmosphere of Cook' restaurant. The breakfast I ordered was excellent. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Many local ranchers, truck drivers and families frequent Cook's for good reasons. I will return. It beats any fast food, by far.

I feel like I'm biased because I'm local, and I have seen some bad reviews with proof so take my review with a grain of salt, but the big thing about cooks is that like a lot of local places anywhere you go they can be hit or miss. Cooks is consistently good, my only real gripe is that they stopped being open 24 hours, Im Sure they have their reasons, but in a town where all the old local spots are disappearing slowly in favor of new flashy joints in glad they are at least still in business, it may be nostalgia speaking but I rock with cooks

I had the combo plate, 2 enchiladas 1 taco. Food was good. Good price, if I drive back this direction I will definitely stop again and try something new.
First off let me say the service here was fantastic! I ordered my food and not less than 5 minutes later it was on the table hot and fresh! The restaurant was clean and fairly busy which surprised me for how quickly the food came out. Everything was perfect and the coffee was delicious too. I can't wait to come back here again soon and try their other dishes.

First time customer--disappointed. Went for breakfast this morning. Asked our waitress for the least expensive way to get French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. She pointed out a breakfast and said I could substitute French toast for the biscuit and gravy. I said, great!! Except for when the bill came with a $2.50 upcharge for my French toast!!! I pointed this out to our waitress, that I was not advised there would be an upcharge. She looked bewildered and said that was how it was. She ended up going to a manager who was no help, so I asked to speak to the manager and the waitress grabbed the ticket and walked away in a huff. She brought it back and just tossed it on the table. She had deleted my entire meal. While that was kind and way more than I had requested, her angry demeanor was such a change from the nice person she was initially taking our order. So, Cooks, you have lost 2 customers over your staffs handling of a $2.50 upcharge you could have easily deleted. Your staffs angry response was completely uncalled for. I had hoped to add your restaurant to my regular diners, but sadly I will not return. I won't say the waitresses name but her first initial is E. We really liked you and your service until the bill came.
