Nearly always perfect. I am a regular since 2007. I used to be a teacher at the nearby Middle and High Schools. The food is a good mix of Mexican and American, so you can generally get whatever you want, from burgers and corn dogs to tacos and authentic Mexican cuisine. I love, LOVE the taco plate, which is three tacos, rice and refried beans, and usually get Luz to add one more taco. Even the rice and beans are excellent. The refried beans are served with cheese melted on top. They are creamy and delicious. The tacos are nice, and hot and crispy and very generous. Perfect. Luz makes her own salsa and it has a nice flavor without being too hot. I put it on the rice and beans and it is perfect for that, too. I have not tried everything on the menu because I almost always have to have the tacos. But of everything I have tried, it is universally delicious. Today we had a really nice breakfast of French toast, eggs, and sausage. Just perfect. I got my French toast with scrambled eggs, and my wife got her eggs over medium. Everything was again, perfect. The sausage patties are thicker than most places, and very flavorful. Service, by Chelsea and Luz was excellent, and the meal was ready very quickly, seemed like about five minutes. The pros: fantastic food, very good service, nice atmosphere. The cons: No cons, really, unless you want to talk about inflation, but even so, I consider Luz' Place a good value and well worth the money. -- E.J. Wilson

Don't let the size of the building fool you, good things come in small packages. The portion are large, the price is right, the service friendly and the food was great. I had the Taco Salad with a fresh home fried edible bowl, so good. We are staying at Bottomless State Campground and will go back again.
Great place in a small town very highly recommend this place even for a detour of of US 285 well worth the price and time
