We drove 50 miles to go to this highly recommended restaurant. Opening hours began at 3:00 pm. We were there at 3:00 and was not open. At 3:10 an employee told us it would be 10 minutes. We left after an additional 15-20 minutes. Don’t understand why the door couldn’t open and allow us to sit down or at least use restroom facilities.
Disappointed we missed eating there but drive there was nice.
New Mexico is on their own time clock… another great thing about it!

We had good and reasonably priced enchiladas at this tiny restaurant. The owner and waitress were very friendly. Be aware it's cash only.

Several people had recommended El Farolito, and it did not disappoint! The tostada was so delicious I went back a second night for another. The atmosphere is small-town New Mexico, and very family friendly. Next time I’m in NM, I’ll go out of my way to go again.

Really tasty local restaurant. Service was great and we enjoyed playing uno while waiting for the food.

This is a New Mexico classic. The place is very small, maybe seating 20 max. It is also not date- night fancy but that is part of the charm. And the food is well worth the drive. Just call to make sure they are open as hours are limited.

I drove three hours and waited an hour for them to open...others were waiting too. No show Jones!

This place is great but hours are unreliable so just be sure to call first before going out of your way

100% recommend this place!! My husband and I just got food there today and it was all so wonderful! I was really craving some flautas which weren't on the menu but the owner made them anyways and he did it up right!! The shredded pork in them were so tender and yummy! And all the other food we got was also amazing! Highly highly recommend this place! I will definitely be a repeat customer!

We plan our trips around this place. Limited hours, cash only, sometimes closed, who cares? The very best. Many years ago, we used to stop at Emma's Hacienda in San Luis which was transcendental. This is a cosmic cousin.
