El Farolito was recommended by our Air BNB host in Abiqui, NM. Very small town and restaurant but run don’t walk to go and experience this amazing New Mexico Mexican food! As good, probably better than any TexMex we’ve had in Texas and that is a serious high rating! Only 6 or 7 tables, but the owners are so kind and the food was simply amazing!!
Definitely nothing to look at, located in a very old & tiny (maybe 5 tables) adobe building in the heart of El Rito (what's left of it)...but the food was great! We ate there twice in 1 week. Been coming here for years. It’s a multi generation mom & pop restaurant, family oriented, people know each other. Green chili chicken enchiladas are to die for. Definitely worth the few extra miles off the main highway
