Hands down the best barbacoa I've ever had. We stopped by on our way to Chimayo and I got the barbacoa burrito and a watermelon aguas fresca. The watermelon was so refreshing but I found myself stealing sips from my wife's pineapple. She had the steak tacos which were great too. Friendly staff and good prices. Just need a reason to head back up there from Santa Fe!
First visit to Rainbow Tortas, I was underwhelmed. Location is in the heart of Española, nextdoor to the supermarket. Girlfriend and I decided to split an order of chicken tacos (comes with 4) and a carne asada torta. Prices are fair, cheap even. However, the inside of the restaurant was filthy. Steak torta, the five star is for friendliness, there was hardly any avocado in the sandwich the steak is cut in tiny little cubes and they have a tendency to come out of the sandwich. It's a sloppy sandwich, but when you seek your teeth in it...It is very good. Red and green chili that gives it more flavor.
