Porter's Restaurant and Smokehouse

We have been a long time customer. Normally I do not complain but we go to porters a lot. Never had any problems. Apparently the owner just changed his rules on whether seniors can get child’s plates. Most seniors don’t eat as much food. They did not allow us too order off that menu as we have always done. We usually go at least once a week. Sometimes with as many as 8 people. As a business owner I go by serving the customer. Sad that they would lose such a great customer over a minuscule rule. Hard to believe.

I know its all frozen products, but they do a good job, I think best fish and chips in town.

To crowded and to expensive. No wonder I don't go out to eat anywhere. No one pays your enough to live and take care of oneself without help and roommates

Oh my goodness! I don't know where to begin...
Let's just say that the food didn't even meet the bar for fast food. I don't know WHAT was going on but literally EVERYTHING, besides the salad bar was inedible, even down to the cocktail I ordered. I am NOT a picky person so I do not state this lightly but the food had a weird chemical smell that everyone at the table agreed regarding two different dishes. It all tasted even worse than it smelled and we left with a big bill and hungry tummies. I seriously don't even understand how a cook could screw food up so bad! Service was also super slow. Such a bizarre experience!

Good food and service, great menu options although I feel the buffet is the best deal if you’re indecisive……. Wife loved her steak and the bbq buffet wasn’t bad either. Definitely recommend.

We were seated immediately and our drinks arrived soon after. Salad bar had a large variety of fresh food. Clean environment.
