I stopped in for a beer and the bartender, Daniel, happened to be the head brewer. I had their double IPA at 100+ IBUs and their Octoberfest Martzen. Both were delicious and right on style. The double IPA had a rich malt backbone that wonderfully balanced the strong, floral hops. Daniel was fun to talk to and very knowledgeable about beer and brewing. I look forward to going back.

Last night we decided to have drink or two so we decided to check out Elkins Brewery. We pull up at exactly at 9:26 pm and hoping to get greeted with a smile and friendly service! It definitely was the opposite! Daniel the bartender was very rude and informs us he made last call already and it was only 9:26 and the website says 10 pm. He rudely serves us and giving us attitude the whole time with his family there having dinner. Another customer comes walking in and Daniel rudely tells him he did last call already! Rudely gets him to the leave the bar! As we leave we can see he was talking about us because he was pointing at us, we could see him through the window! This place needs friendlier staff, preferably a people person!! Joe, the other bartender is an amazing bartender and is always friendly and happy to serve customers!! If you plan on a drink in a relaxing environment, I suggest not to go when Daniel is bartending. Or perhaps it was the color of our skin!

Very good beer, I tried the IPA and the Scotch Ale. Both were great! The service was friendly and professional and the location clean and enjoyable. I wish I could have spent more time here and also that I had been able to purchase a four pack of the delicious Scotch Ale but alas, only so much room on a motorcycle. Next time in Grants, I hope to be able to spend more here, both time and money.
