Not so easy to find a restaurant in such a lonely area. We first stopped at the Mimbres Valley Cafe because the sign said open, but it was closed. Just a few meters further, we came across the Restaurant del Sol, which was open. A quaint locality. We were the only guests on this early day. The employee served us in a friendly and courteous manner, the service was impeccable. The food was tasty and the drinks were well chilled. The price-performance ratio was very good. Well fortified, we started our motorcycle tour through the USA again. A completely successful break.

Not sure if it was us specifically, but this place had my family of (3) with a little, waiting for over and hour and half for our plates. During that time period, no one offered us salsa, (we had to ask) or refills on drinks. (Again we had to ask) we just sat there. There was multiple people coming in after us, and they were getting served before us. I was assuming they were “regulars” of the community and they put them up front afront of us. Finally after 1 hour and 40 minutes our plates came out. By the time I already lost my appetite and was already annoyed by the service. I definitely don’t think it was okay, and will not be going back. Towards the end , after everyone left, the server started being kind and wanted to talk. I wasn’t having it. This place can do better with the customer service!

Loved it&will return every time when in area.The atmosphere is great,beautiful design inside restaurant,hostess was so freindly,very clean establishment,food was cooked when ordered&delicious.Cook knows his stuff(hostess&cook are great to talk with aswell).Try the chips&salsa-very good.Tacos were awesome.Ill be back for more-Its definitely a place where you want to go back try something new every visit in order to someday say"yup-i've ate it all here"(Haha)

Pretty much the only eats in town. Big menu, good wait staff. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. The green sauce is supposedly not that hot, but it nearly set this white guys mouth on fire. It's the real deal, and I'd hate to try the red sauce.

Absolutely delicious, my husband got the green chili burger and I got the enchiladas. Both were tasty, hot, spicy and perfect! The service was great.Highly recommend this restaurant

Motorcycle riders be aware- they have old gas pumps that do not take CC and the hours listed online don't match actual hours.I wish I could have tried the food, but the place was a ghost town at 6:45 pm on a Tuesday.So if you are riding 152, get fuel in Bayard or before getting off the highway by Cabello.
