The starter salsa was spicy and the food was hot and moderately seasoned. I got the asado plate with horchata. The asado was pretty good, and the horchata tasted lighter than other restaurants, which worked for me. I also got a cheesecake at the end. It tasted like a nice brand. The service was decent, no complaints here. She (the server) came to my table about 4 or 5 times, which I think is pretty good. Decent tip. It was dead, and I went to lunch on Saturday around 2. There weren't many people, and there was not much to look around at. It felt like a phone environment, if that makes sense. I might just blame it on timing, but we'll see.

We truly l ou ve able to go to eat at El Jimador. First of all. The restaurant is very clean. The food is delicious and the cookes take pride in the plates they prepare. The service is excellent. The service wasn’t good. The had no conversation with us, almost acted if like she was bothered by us. She was speaking in Spanish about us as if I didn’t understand her and I am fluent in Spanish. None of us ate our food completely. She brought my drink after I was done picking at my plate. The food wasn’t good and overpriced for how it tasted. She grated us 18% for 4 adults and 2 kids which as a server, I get this but gratuity is usually 7 or more. It was our first time eating there and it will be our last. We had bad food, bad service and had to tip well over what we would have normally. When I tried to discuss, they weren’t open to hearing me.
