So I have never been to Jal, but was having to stay here because of a job. While here looking for something to eat, I came across this amazing place with a 1950s street diner vibe. After 5 days of eating from here, I have made it my mission to try everything on the menu. I must say this is one of the hidden gems around. Great service, great follow-through. The food is amazing; onion rings are just great. So if you are in Jal, stop by.

Nice little spot…had the splish splash burger, delicious…and highly recommend the strawberry shortcake shake, not a big fan of Twinkies but definitely works with the shake…service was also very good!

If you are driving thru Jal New Mexico and want a nice place to sit down and eat. Then Cole’s Diner is the place to go. I loved the old school diner look and their service was great! I ordered the Ruben with tater tots. The only reason I gave the food three stars was the meat in the Ruben was overcooked. I will be back next time and try their famous burgers and Blue Bell ice cream.
For a restaurant in a tiny oil town. It’s really good. Service was nice, food was tasty, decor was fun and nostalgic. Just wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable

Very good home style food. Good portion sizes. Good variety of food items. Friendly staff. I ate the 2 egg breakfast with the biscuit and gravy and it surpassed my expectations.
