I've lived here my whole life and somehow had never heard of this place. I wish I had discovered this place sooner and I will definitely be back. The history is amazing and they love to tell their story. You can tell that the place used to be someone's house. Its so unique and cute, but most of all tasty!!! Everything our table got was delicious! And our server was super friendly.

Chope’s is one the most authentic Mexican food restaurants near Mesilla (or anywhere, really). Great flavor without the heat (on some dishes) and super cheap beer. I’ll be returning an often as I can.

This place is soooooo good. We've been here many a times. And all their food is scrumdidilyumptious. Today we came for their $1.50 tacos on Taco Thursday. They were amazing. I had 2 red, 2 green, 2 chicken, and 1 beef. And let me tell you, finger lickin' good. Its definitely worth the drive to visit this wonderful and historic place.

I've been coming here for the past several years on my birthday. Will be there this Friday, LORD willing! Can't decide if I want the Christmas enchilada plate, or, the green chile chicken enchilada plate, that I always get. I love the food. Never had a bad experience. Can't wait!!

There is a bar and a restaurant, separate buildings. Bar also serves food but a kicking vibe. Food has been hit or miss. The bar is great, prices are reasonable and everyone is friendly including the patrons.

Use to work here so it's not personal. Ordered red chicken enchiladas and once I picked up I went to the bar side was told I had to go to restaurant to pick up and I KNOW THAT'S NOT TRUE. Then the enchiladas weren't even enchiladas just flat tortillas w the stuffing on top. It's pathetic how badly it's gotten since 2015. Took 15 maybe 10 minutes to finally be acknowledged when picking up and bartender had an attitude should've never left a tip at either cash out. Will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
