We took a 2 hour ride up to Las Vegas, NM to the Historical Plaza Hotel with the Range Restaurant as the in-house restaurant. We have been to other Range locations, but this one is so special. It is smaller and more intimate with the casual yet eloquent old country charm. We had a choice between breakfast or lunch options. I had the blue corn chili rellenos. They were dry and overcooked, and I pulled them apart to get to the innards. One of them still had the seeds inside and they forgot to stuff it with Monterey Jack cheese. The Cilantro rice was good as usual. We shared a trio of salsa, guacamole, and queso cheese with variegated corn chips, and gobble, they were gone! My husband enjoyed the huge club sandwich and crispy fries. Another guest had the green chili chicken stew and the fruit and salmon salad. She enjoyed both. Our other friend had the 2 egg breakfast over easy with 4 huge slices of bacon and home fries and an English muffin. We had ice tea, all around, and our attentive waitress kept our glasses full. I wish this Range was closer, but we will be back to Las Vegas to do more antique hunting and will enjoy the ambiance of this little nook of the Plaza Hotel again.

I so wanted to give them four stars but the coffee and soda refill never came. This restaurant is located in a cool old hotel that has been the backdrop to many present day movies and tv shows. Upon arrival at the restaurant we were immediately seated and attended to. It was a Saturday morning and we must have been just in front of the Saturday morning crowd. I ordered Huevos rancheros and my dining partner ordered the carne abogado Huevos rancheros. That was the last we saw of our server until she brought the check. Both of our meals were excellent but as I said above we were asked if we would like beverage refills and they never arrived.

Delicious food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We ordered cocktails, elote, enchiladas and chimichangas and everything was delicious. If you are in or near Las Vegas I would recommend to stop by for a bite to eat!

Stayed at the hotel and was surprised to find the restaurant inside! It ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. Dinner was super reasonable and the food was superb. Brunch was a blast and the food again was outrageous! The service was also fantastic. Everyone was super nice and attentive.

Pleasant bright space the morning we had breakfast. Service really slow; lucky we weren't in a hurry. Meals were tasty, coffee was good.

First time stopping in this historic place. Had a great lunch, terrific food, would have stayed to quad a few brews but had to make Albuquerque so, alas, will plan to spend a night next time to do it right.

First dinner upon arrival in law vegas and this little cafe has great food with great flavors. Service is fast, salmon salad and grilled salmon are well prepared dishes. Good for meetings or dates, i would go there again.

Adorable café in a historic building. Decor is rustic yet hip Spanish colonial inspired. Gorgeous and authentic Navajo weavings for sale on the walls. Restaurant is clean and open, sunny, cozy, inviting. Glimpses into the kitchen reveal clean surfaces, modern tile, new appliances, tidy work surfaces. Food: fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee acceptable but unremarkable, blue corn enchiladas with carne adovada were top notch and amazing, they came with authentic posole and pintos, eggs Benedict were well-made, and my husband's basic green chile cheese burger was excellent and cooked exactly as ordered. We're planning to go back for dinner on our return trip.
