Pretty good food, family owned and operated. They made there menu there own so they don't have the basic ordinary stuff. It's a nice variety of family recipes and the food is really good. You can taste the love and pride in there food

Wanted to try out their food, I drive over from another town about 30 miles away. I arrive just in time for a nice lunch with a completely empty stomach. Turns out they only open when they want to and dont stick to their schedule. I arrived at 2pm, which their schedule says they would be open according to google and the paper on the door, no they were not. I also waited a couple 30 minutes too as I thought "Oh they might be on break", how I wish that was true. So instead I just ate some Allsup's chicken, it was good though lightly seasoned. Not even a Family Dollar cashier knew why they were closed. Clap and a half

My burger was great . Bacon green chili on I think a Chibata bun. The ribbon frys or (Elephant ears at the fair) were fantastic. My wife got the brisket plate and said it was good . The Mac and Cheese was excellent!!

The Cowboy Chuckwagon is a great place to stop for lunch. The pulled pork and cheeseburger were excellent! The ribbon fries did not disappoint (seasoned perfect) the small can feed atleast 3 people. Alexis the waitress, is very outgoing, friendly and welcoming!

Stopped for a late lunch. The young waitress in braided hair proceeds to start a very hostile political conversations full of lies, conspiracy and hate. We didn't start the conversation and tried to politely go back to our meal...but she wasn't going to have it.I don't really care about your political views, I came for a sandwich.Ruined our meal.

Stopped in and had lunch on 1-21-22. The food was wonderful but what really made our meal was the waitress. She had us laughing and had alot of great sayings. If I ever make it down that way again I will be stopping. "Green Chile and Disappoints the only thing that comes out of New Mexico."

I would normally never consider a roadside burger joint (I have a mammal meat allergy) but we were desperate because Tucumcari was a big disappointment. I called ahead because the restaurant was close to closing and the highly competent daughter of the owner texted me the menu (uploaded here now). Both the regular burger and the veggie (impossible) burger were fabulous! The buns were ciabatta-type rolls and everything was prepared fresh. The “small” sweet potato fries were more than enough for two. My only complaint was all the styrofoam. It would be great to use biodegradable packaging. Thanks!
