Excellent food, romantic ambiance and the best staff. You’re lucky if you get Lane to recommend a great dinner. Shared a bottle of red wine and a delicious Cinnamon roll bread pudding for dessert. We love that this affordable place is in the neighborhood! We had a satisfying and filling meal.

Great water. Tiny dessert spoons. We went for lunch and everyone left disappointed. The Smash burger is poorly named - two patties, each 3/4in thick. Definitely not smashed. The patties were burnt, so I was eating well done char the whole time. Seemed like no seasoning to the meat either. I couldn't finish it because of how unappetizing it was. The fries were barely any better, seemingly frozen fries that came out soggy and lukewarm.
I am far from a picky eater or food critic. This was genuinely bad. Other folks food was soggy, unseasoned and generally not good.

Flank steak excellent, fries inappropriate. Buttermilk chicken good, grits and veggies underneath with it good. Snapper tough maybe over done. It's was not light and flaky as I am used to with fresh snapper.. Blueberry Rasberry compote very good. No non alcoholic beer? Please no O'Doules, Heiniken or a local NA please. Now that most have watched The Bear, America's fine dining expectations are growing. For the price of B & L, the tables were modest and light weight, napkins not crisply folded. Staff needs to raise their professional bar. Some were a bit disheveled. All should watch season 2 of The Bear to better understand the transition from a Beef sandwich shop to a restaurant of higher cuisine and stature that the B & L could become. Coaching and mentoring necessary top down. Our waiter was excellent but he was overloaded. Staff could have engaged more to help him out. Will try again but our $140 tab for 4 with one split meal, one shared desert and only two alcoholic drinks was steep considering the above. Good luck to you B & L, if you raise your internal bar you may make it, if not, you may price yourself out of business. Los Alamos needs you, hope you do it for our sake.

A beautiful neighborhood gem that is at home in a big city or a smaller town! Gluten free options that you don't normally find anywhere and desserts that are spectacular. It doesn't hurt to make a reservation, but you can sit on the spacious patio without one. Try Beef and Leaf, you won't be disappointed!

Terrific food, and service from Lane was wonderful! Drinks were very good!!
The patio seating is our favorite and will hopefully stay open (heated?) late into the Fall. We have been here many times now since opening and the food is always good. Menu changed with the season, and the frito pie is quite tasty. We recommend this restaurant very much and look forward to what the chef has in store for the future. Hopefully some special winter dining events… wine pairings and tasting menu?

Great surprise while in Los Alamos! Yummy, yummy comfort food!
FANTASTIC food. Friendly service. Little on the fancier side of casual and not much on the menu for kids, but definitely WELL worth your time and money.

Everything was wonderful. But the reason for a 4 star was there was no kids menu. Definitely caters to adults. We were there for a Sunday breakfast and would lo e to return with a kidsenu.

Wow, I was excited to come to Beef and Leaf! I love a new restaurant. Especially one with gluten free options.
My partner and I went to the restaurant , ordered a few cocktails, one of which the Laura's Lemonade, which was great, and started with the fried cauliflower, which was also amazing! And we were excited for the rest of our meal. I had ordered the red fish and he got the chicken fried steak.
My fish was so tough I had use a steak knife to cut through it. It was obviously frozen when it was cooked, and was so tough it was inedible. The rissotto on the other hand was somehow weirdly crunchy. My partner was very excited to get a chicken fried steak. But unfortunately he had to chew endlessly to the point of exhaustion. This was also obviously frozen when fried and had a tough, sinewy texture. The chicken fried steak sat on top of sweet potatoes that were cooked with so much maple syrup that it was all you could taste.
We both grew up in families where you don't leave anything behind on your plate. We both left at least half of our meals on our plates, spent way too much money on inedible food, and then went to Riggobertos after for something good to eat.
The service, cauliflower and ambiance are the only reason why I give the 2 stars. Save yourself the reservation, go get a drink on the patio, get some fried cauliflower, then get dinner somewhere else.

I'm so glad this is open and within walking distance for us. We've had dinner there twice so far and we've had bar food twice. I'm not a huge red meat eater but the chicken country steak was delicious. We love the open airy feel of the restaurant and the huge outdoor seating area. The owner is my dog's new best friend bc she loved on my dog and gave her a little piece of bacon while we sat on the patio. This is such a welcome and yummy addition to our community.

I have been twice and cannot wait.to go again. The outside.seating is welcoming. The staff are lovely. The food was amazing each time i went. This restaurant compliments the other established well loved food options in town in a creative.and exciting way. It also gives the youth of our town an opportunity to work and learn about the culinary industry. I am looking forward to going agsin st the end of a workday hopefully this week.
