I ordered my food with no cheese because I have a dairy allergy. My food came with cheese . The guy at the counter suggested I eat it anyway because it wasn’t very much cheese. I was shocked ! So rude and unprofessional. I’ve been eating at El parasol since I was a kid in Santa Fe . No one has ever treated me like this .

Their food is always good, but Monday specials are my favorite. They have good green chile stew, carne adovada, and burgers. For catering the enchiladas are delicious! Breakfast burritos are great and don't send you to the bathroom, but there's no hash browns in these.

Recommended dishes: Carne Adovada Burrito, Carne Adovada, Shredded Beef and Chicken Tacos

I don't know what they did to the arroz con pollo, the chicken in it used to be tasty and tender and delicious. It is now tough, dry , cubed and tasteless. Ruins the soup 100%.

Cute spot with a welcoming interior, friendly staff, and patio with umbrella -covered tables.
Highly recommend the Frito Pie --spot on!
Tasty, homemade, spicy pork and chicken tamales -- personally, I would like to have a little more sauce topping them.
Great to have a drive through for pickup and take out orders.

Here’s the thing. I eat a lot of burgers. I travel the world and eat burgers. I known my umami. That double meat + green + guac was easily the best burger I’ve ever had.

For the first half of the burger I was just amazed and full of joy. For the second half I relived several of my favorite burger experiences trying to discern where this one fit in the lineup. … #1. Simply #1. I’ll be back Los Alamos. Thank you El Parasol!

I love stopping in for the fresh, made to order, burritos and handmade tamales. This place has been around since 1958, and continues to shine.

Best food in town. Good service. Fairly quick if it’s not the lunch rush. The online ordering works well or just calling it in when it’s busy

We had a chicken burrito and the Chile stew. Both were just okay. Chicken was flavorless. Stew had flavor but the beef seemed canned to me, based on the texture and taste. $8.52 for a bag of terrible tortilla chips and 2 small cups of salsa and $3.50 for a soda. I would not eat here again.

Great restaurant! The service is great, and our food was served within minutes—even during the lunch rush.

I got 3 chicken tacos, and they were amazing. They come with lettuce, guacamole, and cheese by default. They were a little messy, but that was negligible.

There is an option to get a combination platter that has sides like rice, beans, etc.
