Food was unexpectedly outstanding for a cafe in a national monument. Indian flair to standard American food—the Bollywood burger should not be missed! The iced chai was also exceptional. Prices were not elevated for the quality, and the service was great. Stop here!
I think their nasty comments show you what kind of "service" you can expect here. A 5 star review from when they are closed deserves a "thank you", but if I leave a 1 star review from when I ate there last summer because I am spending time reviewing places in Los Alamos, and I wasn't the one who paid when I went, my review doesn't count. Talk about "customer service", just like when you go to pick up an order at 11:30 and the door is still locked at 11:25 (my experience), and you get cold food. It's one thing if a business screws up and apologizes, but hostility deserves NO business. Paper Dosa is well worth the drive.Their comment on my review in case they try to remove it:This location is not currently open. It has not been open since last year, though it will reopen in Summer. As such, this review cannot be for food or service or any interaction with this location. As such, we are requesting this review's removal.Update: we have verified that no Andrew G has eaten at any of our locations, recently. This person has not been a customer at any Sirphey location, recently, and certainly not this one that has been closed for several months.

Having enjoyed burgers for 60 years, I can say with some authority that Dave’s Elk burger was without parallel my all- time favorite burger. We drive 60+ miles to get here for lunch, and it is always worth it. The wine pairings suggested for the burger and the other plates enjoyed among my party were all exquisite.

Closed during posted business hours. Visited @ 1pm.
Food was exceptional and frankly surprising. Vegan options for my lady and the burger was perfect. Not a typical restaurant in style but weather was perfect to eat outside. Great spot for a good feed before or after experiencing this amazing park.
Vegetarian options: Fried bread is simply superb and ask for vegan options as they have several.

In this small cafe at a national monument in the mountains of New Mexico I was able to get a vegan burger with vegan cheese on a toasted bun with caramelized onions - it was delicious!! ?

Will not be returning. Refused cash payments while not having any signage saying such. Parking is hard to navigate as well. Prefer to make the drive to Santa fe for better Indian food.
Parking: Lot is not easy to access
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is NOT wheelchair friendly and indoors would be hard to navigate with a wheelchair.

We happened upon Sirphey at Bandelier and found the best road food of my life! Elk cheeseburger with guacamole and green Chile on open face fry bread was fantastic. Pistachio Baclava sent us to heaven — but we returned to tell the tale. Service was attentive and friendly. Cannot recommend more highly!
We spent the day at Bandelier National Monument hiking and climbing ladders. We were famished! We decided to try out the cafe at the park — Sirphey at Bandelier. Our group of 4 ordered appetizers, burgers, and some dessert (fry bread). Everything was so fresh and delicious. We had 4 different burgers and they were all fantastic. We tried the bison and the ground beef. Both were good. The burgers come on brioche buns with all sorts of accompaniments. Don’t skip the fry bread dessert! It’s wonderful. A real treat. The man running the cafe was super friendly and helpful. Great experience.
What an amazing and very delicious hamburger. I had the New Mexico True Burger... every bite was delicious. A very nice treat after hiking and exploring the loop! Staff was awesome. Keep up the great work.
We stopped at Sirphey at Bandelier National Monument and were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed some burgers (Vegetarian Doug) and Chai. We all agreed it was a wonderful food experience.
