Super friendly service!! You’ll be treated just like family there!!
Beer and wine and basic New mexican bar food, and they are open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday!
This restaurant no longer exists. There’s a new place called Yaya‘s in its place. We did not eat there. We ate next-door at a really good restaurant called TJ‘s.
Once again, great food, extraordinary service. Wonderful experience. Both the red and green chili are delightful. The wait staff do a great job.
Village Cafe is a small town cafe with a rather unique menu. Mainly serving New Mexican food but has many American food dishes. They serve breakfast and a luncheon menu. The inside dining area is small and gets pretty noisy when full of customers. They also offer a outside covered patio area. I have never had a dish that I did not care for. The burgers are tasty! The food is fresh and hot and served with a smile!
My favorite place to go for breakfast or lunch. The food is consistently very good. I always feel welcomed and well taken care of-whether I'm alone or with family. I love the chicharron burrito with beans and red chile.
Kind of disappointed. Ww went there for lunch today. They were not busy at all. We ordered the enchiladas and the huevos rancheros. The enchiladas were barely passable, but nothing to write home about. Ordered them "stacked" (per the menu), and they were served "rolled" instead. The huevos rancheros would have been OK, but they were ordered with scrambled eggs, and were delivered to the table with a very runny fried egg, which is the reason why scrambled was ordered in the first place; to avoid runny eggs. Isn't the waitress/waiter supposed to look at the plate of food and compare it to what is written on the order slip, before serving it? Our waitress was on the phone and visiting with people quite a bit, and never brought the ticket to us, so when she was finally finished talking and visiting, we just went up front and paid. We had a pretty good meal there a couple of weeks ago, and were just trying to patronize a local establishment, to help the economy. So far, they are 1 for 2 in my book. I will probably give them one more chance, but I haven't decided yet.
Trying to find a good Tex-Mex place that wasn't a chain, we stumbled across Village Cafe. It's a quaint little diner that claimed to offer what we were looking for so we tried it. Good decision! I had the Stacked Enchiladas, and my wife had the Lazy Man's Navajo Taco. Both were huge! Neither of us expected much. We were very pleasantly surprised. The sauce was spicy, not the bland sauce with extra vinegar many places serve. The beans weren't mushy and bland, the tortilla for the taco was crispy but not burnt. In all, well worth the few dollars we spent and much better food than we'd have found at a chain location. If you're in the area and looking for some authentic food, look no further than Village Cafe.
