Ivy Tearoom - Afternoon Tea & Caviar

An amazing place. Everything was delicious and I felt so fancy drinking special teas.

My coworkers and I have been enjoying the Ivy Tearoom for about 3 years now. We try to go once a month. We love the ambiance, the tea, and the food. It is always a new experience. The service is friendly and attentive. It's a wonderful place to connect with friends and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

The organization of the courses was a little all over the place. We were given our second course so quickly that it rushed the first course and then the third course we waited a bit for. The food and tea was just okay. The sugar at the table is just packed raw sugar, which creates a lot of trash. A tea room should have both white and brown sugar available. The workers are not as professional as I would have expected from a tea room. I will say, I did LOVE their blue jasmine tea but I wish the tea packaging had information about the tea and how it should be prepared. All it says is “steep 4 minutes.”

I’ve been coming to Ivy Tea Room for years, and unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed after my most recent visit. The portions have noticeably shrunk—especially the scones, and prices have gone up, which makes the value feel lacking.

I always bring out-of-town guests here and visit with my family because it was such a special experience. We love getting dressed up, taking photos in the beautiful rooms, and enjoying the elegant tiered presentation of the food. But this time, the second and third courses were served on a single plain plate, which really highlighted how little food we were given (and have been given).

The service was just okay. While I still think it can be a fun outing with friends especially for the first time, the overall experience (food) didn’t feel worth the price.

Such a great experience!

Service is great. The rooms are secluded and private so it was nice to be able to chat freely. If you get booked for an upstairs area, there is not an elevator. Overall, we really appreciated that our server put together a charcuterie board for my friend who is gluten intolerant. If I had known how little I would like the tea menu, I would have also requested a charcuterie board. Does not even come close to St. James Tea Room.

I’ve had tea here a few times and it’s always fun and special. I took a friend to celebrate their birthday and staff at The Ivy made it a very special day for them. They always provide such amazing service!

What a delightful afternoon! The food was delish, the tea was perfect, the ambiance was lovely. Thank you for accommodating a college alum gathering. We had a great time. Highly recommend.

Great looking place

Over priced & lacking quality and experience, if you’re looking for a classy tea experience i would not recommend this place I had high expectations but was sadly disappointed
EDIT: since the owner decided to respond I’ll add and extra layer to why I chose to give this establishment such a poor rating. It wasn’t not because I indeed booked for an upper level room but was giving a subpar replacement. As other reviewers mentioned the quality of food and just over all experience for a place that’s charging a decent amount of money was not it. Spent less internationally for a way better experience. Not to mention we got upgraded drinks only for one to come not as described and got a weird interaction when asked to correct it as, after spending as much as we did kinda wild to have such a underwhelming experience, But like others have mentioned it’s best fit for an early teenager not a classy adult teatime experience. Unappealing music was also blasting

I have experienced several afternoon teas, including others in the area, and I can confidently say that this was the best one. The service and food were exceptional, with each course perfectly paced to allow us to truly savor every bite. I’ve been to other teas where everything is placed in front of you all at once, which felt rushed—this experience was the complete opposite, with a thoughtful and elegant flow allowing my family and I time to finish each course.

Thank you for being open during inclement weather, allowing us to celebrate a birthday in such a special setting. If you’re looking for a full tea service and fine dining experience, this is the place to go. We look forward to returning!

Wonderful experience, the little gazebos outside are so fun. We will be returning for another themed tea in the future. Great for dates.

First and definitely not my last tea experience! The hocus pocus theme was eventful! The tea was amazing, the food savory and sweet. Loved every minute of it with my friends for a girl's day! A must try! The building was beautiful decorated and the staff were fun and professional is their service.
