We go to the Mine Shaft Tavern about once a month. It's a pretty drive, and the restaurant is great. They have delicious burgers, Wagyu steak and enchiladas, and green chile stew. My go to cocktail is the Prickly Pear Margarita.....it's tad bit sweet with just the right amount of sour! The service is always great and the ambiance is fun with the eclectic decor and local artist paintings. The live music days are enjoyable too. If you're an East Mountain local, or just passing through, the Mine Shaft Tavern is a great place to visit!

Great place to catch some music in a Saturday afternoon! Our group of 6 could hear each other to talk or sing along with the music. 🎵

Off the beaten path but well worth the trip. Took the trip out from Santa Fe to try the famous “#1 Green Chile Burger”. I loved that they had a veggie burger option. It was delicious. But the thing that really blew me away was the battered green Chile with the ranch dipping sauce on the appetizers menu. I tried it on a whim and that was the true highlight. I’d never had anything like it before.

Great place to eat! Food was delicious and atmosphere was really neat. Would have been 5 stars but the older waitress with the silver curly hair provided terrible service (10+ minutes to even greet the table and we are still waiting on our waters)...as if the service wasn't bad enough she then went as far as to complain her tip wasn't 20% OUTLOUD before she left the table and failed to return with a receipt. I served tables for a decade of my life and her attitude was completely unacceptable. If you want good tips, provide good service....pretty freaking simple. She is lucky she got tipped at all.

This is a must visit. We make sure to go out of our way several times a year to get their green chile cheeseburger. We also like the fried artichoke hearts as an appetizer. Great place.

I dont think this place could have hired more actively rude and shitty people if they tried. Abhorrently, unnecessarily rude reception and staff… all for subpar food at a jacked up price. #neveragain
