This was my second stay here. The rooms are clean, cozy and very cute. I love the retro style! You can really appreciate the work they’ve put into remodeling the rooms. Extra friendly owner/staff. I was traveling with my dog, so it was great that they are pet friendly. Great part of a New Mexico road trip.

Wanted to visit the VLA on a recent Route 66 trip and found this place doing a Google search of the area. Pulled up and the owner took me to my room to be sure it was ok. Turns out she grew up about 20 miles from where I live in Texas.
Room was very nice. Great bed and plenty of room. Motel was pretty busy that night so only issue was not much hot water in the morning. Guess I slept to late’😁
Only one restaurant in Magdalena but had a great burger there. She also recommended stopping at one of the two gas stations in town for a homemade breakfast taco. Had a great Spam, potato and egg taco. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed on a Friday Night to catch a morning tour at the Very Large Array, and then drive the back roads to Silver City. Room (#14) was clean, recently updated. Beds comfortable and awesome water pressure in the shower. Area was safe and quiet. Not a lot of restaurants in Magdalena, but we had dinner in Socorro then drove up. If your traveling through NM along US60 and want a safe, comfortable night's rest, this is your place.

We stopped in late and she was just closing up but still gave us 2 rooms and a good rate. She was so friendly and helpful of anything we needed. The rooms are so cute and upgraded, love the barn doors on the bathroom. There was extra blankets if you needed them and the best smelling soap. She also had 2 cute puppies that my family just loved. If we weren't driving across the country I think we would have taken one. If you are driving thru stop and stay, such a cute place.

Single nights stay, room was clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly. Don't let the idea of being in the center of NM as being dead flat and featureless. Sure theres not a lot to do. But plenty to look at. Sunset was awesome.

Very nice lady that runs the place. Very welcoming and you can tell she a genuine person for all the stray dogs that think they live with her at the motel. Overall great experience.

It's easy to drive straight through a town like Magdalena because it's so small, but glad we made the stop at this place. Friendly owners. The cutest, most dramatic and friendly little pup is in the main office. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Not a fan of the pillows, which surprised me because I saw several reviews mention those as exceptionally comfy. I don't anticipate driving through this area or town again, but highly recommend giving the peace and quiet of Magdalena and the convenience of this little motel.

We stayed here on New Year's eve so we could go to the Golden Spur and watch the band. This is a great little hidden gem in Magdalena. Rooms are clean, redone and modern. Check-in was a breeze and the owner was very nice. Bed was super comfortable that we ended up over sleeping to return home. I highly recommend this place.
Where to start... The old bathroom ... The no shower head... The guest next door with his car horn at 5am...last but not least no one at the office till 3pm.. So no check out..
