Driving thru the Mescalero Apache Reservation Mountain in NM, we stopped to have lunch in this tiny eatery, the E.L.A. I have to say it was really good and the friendliness of the staff and owners was amazing. If you ever drive thru Mescalero you must stop and have the Indian taco fried bread it was amazing. So good that we had 4 fried breads to go. Their tacos and breakfast is good as well. Go and support this small business they deserve it! Happy travels everyone π

Warm welcome atmophere. Standard menu for local fare. But when I inquired the mgr clued me in that Indiana Fry bread was served, just not listed on the menu. I went for the Indian Taco. The small was more than I could eat. Yum! The waitress was so cute. Very helpful and polite. Good crowd translates good food. The fries were extra crispy. Yeah! I'll definitely go back when I'm up that way.

This is the place to go for a good breakfast on a Saturday morning.
The food taste is very delicious. It's got that home made taste. You can't go wrong with the Breakfast Plate.
The service is good and the prices are on point as well.
The place is clean and good dinner atmosphere. Check it out! You'll like it.

I'm so glad we finally tried this little place.
Our order was hot and flavorful, served quickly with a smile. Wonderful experience. Salsa and chips are on point.
Very impressed. We will be back.
Great food and super friendly service. Recommend the Indian taco.
We've been wanting to stop in for years & never could and I'm so sad it took so long! The service was fast, friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. Wanted everything on the menu but started by trying some classics. My husband got a cheeseburger & the size the the price is huge! Fresh and delicious.
I got 1 of my go to 1st tries, beef potato cheese red chile burrito, excellent! So much flavor! And bigger than I could eat in 1 meal, I def took some home. I ordered a tamale to go bc I heard how good they are; truth! We also took the red salsa home bc it was sooooo good.
We will most definitely be back. Highly recommended!! Stop in or you're losing out.
They cook their food good but the tamales use to be meaty now its mostly masa an a little meat in it an its dry has no moisture they need to make their tamales like they did when they first started out
Portions are huge! I'm a big guy, but I couldn't finish one indiana taco. It was delicious. It's a hole in the wall feel, so if you're looking for great taste with inexpensive pricing, then the atmosphere is perfect. The chef is very social and fun to talk to.

I love the Indian Tacos. I wish they had smaller ones though, as I always feel guilty about only being able to eat about half. I'm usually midway on a 6 hour drive when I stop there, so I can't take the leftovers to go. Friendly staff too.
