Change your hours on here. It says here you close at 08:30pm, but when we show up at 07:20 and sat down, your server said you guys closed at 7pm. So we stopped over for nothing. It's now 7:44pm. Why couldn't you guys put up a sign or say something A LOT sooner?
Nearby is the NM Mining museum

Simple, GOOD New Mexican cuisine. I didn't bother looking at any of the other stuff on the menu. Excellent Adovado pork, green Chile sauce, Chile Rellenos, and homemade sopapillas.
If you're going to be stopping for a long EV charging session and Kiva café is open, it's worth your while.

This is my go-to place. The owner and servers are very friendly. They have the best green Chile in the area. The place is quaint with a lot of historical pictures of the area anf it's founding families. Sometimes Sundays can be very crowded as they bare one of a few restaurants open. Hours can vary depending on the season, so call to check on availability. The sopapillas (fried bread are light and always served warm.

Grilled cheese was velveta for 9.00 plus two small slices of tomatoes for an extra dollar. Service took quite some time. Beans for the taco were good.
Went with my family, total of 4 people. With only 1 other table occupied when we arrived.
Ordered 2 of the Ham Grilled Cheese kids meals, both came without ham and sliced cheese stacked together not even melted. Wife ordered the Asada Tacos plate, along with an order of Asada Fries to split. The tacos didn't come with the green chili, and the asada fries didn't make it out at all. I ordered the Top Sirloin Steak, medium, with fries and mashed potatoes. Steak came out well done, mashed potatoes and gravy were cold, and all three meals came with about 12 French fries each.
During the whole meal, a server never once stopped by the table to see how we were doing, refill our drinks, or to even see if the food came out okay.
I'm a truck driver and I always try to stop here when I can. I love the Indian bread taco, I get it every time. I make my own tortillas (via mazza flower of course and they explained to me how to make authentic Indian bread, as well as sopapillas, which was really nice of them). Little slow. Deal with it, it's worth it. I don't understand the few bad reviews. I've never had a bad experience. The girls are young, and again yes, a little slow, and they do sometimes get really busy. But they are happy, upbeat, (and pretty) usually smiling unless busy or distracted and are very friendly. The salsa, red, may be less hot than the green, but it's hot. I can't take too much hot but the flavor is so good that I eat it anyway and even order some on the side to take with me occasionally. And I'm a salsa connoisseur. It's not the best in the world no, but it's damn good. Don't go in if you're in a rush, it'll just ruin the place for you and then you'll miss out on a good meal because you won't go back. But if you have the time to sit, maybe have a conversation, relax and enjoy a meal the way they're supposed to be eaten, then this place is pretty damn good. I think people forget that the world doesn't revolve around them and that not everybody likes things the way they do, and they also forget that that's okay, for those people, probably not the place for you. And for those that don't know because they can't be bothered to take the time to learn, Mexican culture in general is more relaxed and laid-back then rushed in nature, especially when it comes to meals and or social settings. This is especially true in smaller towns and rural areas. So if you're looking for fast food, this isn't it. And why the hell would anyone go to a Mexican restaurant and order burgers? Especially when you can get one out of the heat box at the Love's across the street. Or the McDonald's down the road. That to me is just stupid.
Had a nice stop while we charged at the charging station. Both the chef salad and grilled chicken salad were very good. Very good stop.
Bland food, slow service
