Happy they finally open, been coming to this truckstop for years and every time I wander over they are closed. Pretty good, minus one star because the two packs of tortillas had different numbers. One major note if you are from Texas check your translation and more importantly your spelling. I thought I ordered Chili con Queso basically chili cheese nachos, what I actually ordered was Chile con Queso. Basically the neon orange cheese sauce you see at football games with jalapenos and not mild ones mixed in. The pico was also mostly green and not red and far exceeded my tolerance, also be aware that cheese and pico are not only not included but are a pricey extra. That being said outside of cultural differences not a bad place.

Wasn't busy, so I was excited to try out a new spot. The menu had the right amount of choices to keep me from getting overwhelmed. My family and I were taking a minute to decide. The waitress was super nice, not pushy at all. Granted, there were two tables, three counting ours, so it was not too busy. Total of 8 people in the restaurant counting my party of 4.My wife ordered a Michelada, got a glass of budlight, took about 10 minutes to get our waitress back to ask about it, she explained it only comes in a bottle, wife says ok, I'll have that (which is what she had asked for originally). Bout 8 minutes later, the waitress brings the Michelada in a glass. Had to pay for two beers instead of just one. SMH.Got coffee, nachos, and something for my little one. Family finally decided on what to eat (wife, 2 kids, myself). I decided not to order after finding out that the $12+ plate of street tacos only came with 3. That's more expensive than various food trucks around town who offer street tacos. So I finish my coffee and watch as people who'd come in after we had order, they ordered, and got their food before us, took almost an hour for a steak, shrimp and fries, and a hamburger to be brought out. At that time, our waitress didn't stop by. See how we were on drinks, need refills, or anything.I asked for to-go boxes, and then she offered coffee refill, which was a shame because the coffee was FANTASTIC!All in all, food was ok, and the atmosphere was relaxed ?It's not worth the $ we spent, in my honest opinion.TL;DR: Service was less than lackluster. The food was ok.

As a person who travels across the country and occasionally indulges himself, I am ABSOLUTELY blown away. The flavor profile on my dish was divine. I am having a hard time processing how delicious everything was. This experience has fundamentally changed the way I review restaurants moving forward. I ate a medium steak and chimichanga with extra rice and beans, and it surpassed expectations I didn't even have. The hint of charcoal on my steak was something I didn't think I needed to taste till now. The fat was so tender that it felt like biting on water. The flavor of the beans and rice was better than 50% of any other food I've ever reviewed. Trucker friendly, plenty of space to pull a truck in to eat the best Mexican food of your life.

The wait is horrendous. One waitess on a Friday and she was getting worn out. We got here at 6 and got our drinks and chips and my daughter just got her salad at 7:13, but we are next.
