who serves margaritas in water glasses????????? Dinner in bowls. no dinner rolls. over priced menu. this used to be a great place for special occasions-----not anymore.

Food was AMAZING!!! Service was a bit lack luster!!! Waited 30 min for our food when people that came in 15-20 after we got there, they got theirs at the same time!!! Might want to work on that….
Music was great, but once again…if I have to ask you what’s going on with our dinner before you tell us….NOT GOOD!!!!
We stayed at the lodge right up the road from here…and this place has a reputation from what I understand of the same issue and people not being so nice when they don’t get the service that a $50-$100 restaurant should be offering.
Waitress focusing on one table and ignoring the rest…and attitude…let me just tell you..whew!!!!

One of the best experiences I have had in ages. The bowl of green chili is seriously the best I've ever had. I always have had an idea of what this dish should be every time I come through New Mexico. This was as close to that platonic ideal as I could possibly imagine. I would drive a long way just to get another bowl of that.

We also got the prime rib, green Chile loaded fries. These too were just outstanding. The prime rib was so incredibly flavorful.

The portion sizes were quite generous as well.

The atmosphere was perfect, with live music and locals dancing. I felt like I had stepped back in time. Service was impeccable. Just a wonderful experience all around.

This is a great piece of history, dusted off and operating almost as it would have in the 1860s. We haven't tried the food here yet, but we enjoy grabbing a drink here after a day of sightseeing and traveling the back roads in the area. Make sure to get a look at the opera house while you're there.
