Great service. Our waiter was helpful and attentive without hovering over our table. The food was some of the best we've had in New Mexico. Incredible!
Jed did an amazing job with recommendations for food, wine and service. Everything was wonderful and Blades is now my go to dining experience
Early dinner with friendly staff. Good food but the star are the desserts. Prices are affordable with low noise level.
Blades Bistro is always a Win! If you want to stay local, eat local, Blades' Bistro can not be beat. The food, atmosphere, and ambiance are always wonderful.
I love Blades Bistro. It is one of the nicest restaurants in Placitas. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is low key, restaurant is clean and tidy. We had a very comfortable enclosed table which was great. The service was good without being hovered over.
Excellent menu and wine list! Presentation of food nice, always served at perfect temperature, not to mention how delicious it is.
Always a great meal and service!! Ate TOO much!! The cheesecake was crumbly - too hard of a crust. All else good!
Second dinner at Blades. I'm digging this place. A solid staple and true bistro experience out in the desert hinterlands. Full, lively house on a Saturday night. Nice well rounded wine list. The roasted Brussels sprouts app - delicious. Salmon with buerre blanc sauce, mashed reds and very well seasoned veg was a standout. Putting Blades into our date night rotation 😊.
Entree food was delicious. Appetizer of crab cakes was a bit disappointing, prefer more of the crab cake taste and less filler. Quickly greeted at door and seated. Service was mostly prompt until end of evening. Bussers were friendly and prompt. Server was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was a bit dim with lighting, but would recommend.
Had dinner at Blade's just prior to attending the TASS Star Party at the Placitas Municipal Library. Service was excellent, all the staff were courteous and pleasant, and the food was very good! Both of us (wife and I) ordered the 'Schnitzel (chef's version of Weiner Schnitzel) and was pleasantly surprised at the taste and tenderness of the veal cutlet. Last time I ate this, I was in Germany on business almost 45 years ago, and Blade's did a great job with their version. Only "complaint" was that this dish is (was?) usually served with 'pomme frittes' (German-style French fries) but we still enjoyed it. We will be going back more frequently (usually only go before star parties at the Library or after art tours in Placitas) as we really enjoyed the overall experience even though it is a bit of a drive for us. We really liked the fact that this appears to be a popular evening spot with Placitas locals; felt very "homey" yet elegant. Nice Place!!!

Receiving a free dessert for our anniversary dinner made a huge impression on us. Many thanks!
Our meal was exquisite, the service was awesome! The chef, Kevin, even came to personally make sure our meal was perfect. Doesn't get any better than that! It was a wonderful evening!
We love to eat at Blade's....love the ambience. Service was excellent! However, the Asian ribs were over cooked. It seemed as though the ribs were cooked much earlier. That said, I'd definitely go back.
Honestly one of the best restaurant meals in recent memory. My kind of professional yet casual atmosphere. I'll be back!
