The food was really great and portion sizes were generous! Joaquin was our server, and he was very kind and excited when he came to take our orders. He was very welcoming and we had a great time visiting from out of town! Highly recommend a visit if you are passing through Portales!

Next door to the restaurant is the quaint El Rancho Breakfast Burrito spot. Their breakfast burritos are not only the best in the area but also the best I’ve ever had. You can choose from their delicious menu options or customize your own from a wide variety of fresh ingredients.
Overall, El Rancho delivers a genuine taste of New Mexican hospitality and flavor, making it a must-visit dining destination in Portales.

Enchiladas were bland only thing that actually gave it flavor was the peppers. The nachos were decent the fajita meat was stringy not much flavor. Sopas were big and fluffy can’t go wrong with those. Service was superb.
