I was traveling through town and I asked the lady up front for recommendations on their best selling food & coffee. She recommended the Portales Legacy and a regular in line recommended the cookies and cream frappe and OMG...they are to die for! Customer service was amazing👏🏼. She even offered me to look at a menu of what the workers have written down of their favorite creations that aren't on the regular menu. I will definitely be coming back and trying more delicious foods & drinks. It was a little too early in the morning for me to get Ice cream but I'll be back to buy some next time. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Don't skip this place!

Just what I expected :) friendly staff and delicious food in a casual, welcoming environment. The Italian soda was creamy and so delish. My potato soup and half chicken salad sandwich were so filling I didn’t have room for their homemade ice cream, so I’ll have to start with that next time. The turkey panini was perfectly crispy and melty, with tasty green chile adding the right amount of heat. The tomato soup came with little grilled cheese croutons that were as tasty as they were adorable! The Portales Legacy tasted like my college days in the 90s and so I got two more to take back home to my mom and fiancé so they can taste the goodness themselves.

The best spot in Portales. Great coffee at a reasonable price in a really fun atmosphere. This is my go-to spot when I visit my grandparents in Portales and need their free WiFi to do a Zoom meeting or get some work done.

I am in love with this place. Every time I come in, they are really nice, attentive, caring. Sometimes I don't know which coffee to buy and they make me something, (which always turns out to be so good!). The staff is extremely caring and patient, always telling me to try the coffee and if I dont like it they can remake it. There's no other words to describe this place but amazing, my favorite to go place 🫶🏻

I stopped at Sweetwaters at Landalls while traveling from Albuquerque, and this ice cream is on a different level. The flavors are not too rich or overpowering—they’re perfectly balanced and taste like real desserts.

The hot chocolate tastes exactly like real hot chocolate. The banana pudding tastes just like the classic dessert, and the apple strudel flavor is warm, smooth, and comforting. The Heath vanilla is also excellent—whoever is creating these flavors is a true mastermind and deserves credit for using high-quality ingredients.

This is honestly some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I truly hope they consider opening a location in Albuquerque or finding a way to sell their ice cream in stores, because I would buy it regularly. If you’re anywhere near Portales, go check it out—you won’t be disappointed
