This is such a rip off. 16$ for “brisket fries.”
First of all, those are tots, not fries. Second of all, they just give you a sprinkle of brisket. There is no vegetables added. No sour cream. No toppings. Just globs of cheese. Plus they forgot my side. Even though I paid for the meal! Won’t be going back again.

Quality has really gone down the last 2 years. Ordered a chicken burrito, and a chicken quesadilla on this visit, and there was barley any meat at all.
Not consistent either. Chicken burrito also used to have vegetables in it, so I pretty much got a rolled up cheese quesadilla.

Food is decent, depending what you get some things are bland. Oil needs changed more often because the fry’s taste like old oil half the time. Staff if okay, not rude but they don’t give that welcome vibe. Also sometimes the staff doesn’t know what their limited time foods are and will try to argue that it doesn’t exist.

It's always disappointing when one of your favorite spots goes downhill. Just got my usual cheddar fries, and if you could find cheese on half the tots, you would be generous. Very sad😔

Favorite location and favorite place to grab a quick bite. I almost always get the same thing and I prefer dining in, the atmosphere is very nice and quaint, it feels like walking into a small piece of history. Though Portales doesn’t offer much worth noting Taco Box is definitely a must hit spot when stopping in town.

Absolutely the Best tea in town, yes better than Something Different, the girls are always very kind even when you can see they are ready to go home. Very patient as well, I paid in change the other day and she didn’t seem too bothered by it. I usually dine in the evening when David is on shift, my food is always Fresh and Hot. Keep doing what y'all are doing. Ignore the haters.

This is the second time I have gotten a chicken burrito and there was hardly any chicken in it, just loads of lettuce... I didn't realize I was getting a vegetarian burrito. Very disappointed!!!
Loved it drove all the way from odessa to eat their nacho deluxe

The food was disgusting. I ordered a green Chile stew burrito and jalapeno poppers and my son had a double cheeseburger. The burrito was just cold cheese, cold rice and 1 piece of cold meat. The double cheeseburger was cold and my son had 1 bite.
I tasted the burger and it tasted awful. Later on in the day we felt sick.
The jalapeno poppers were cold but tasted ok.
The customer service also sucked.
