Very disappointing. I am from Texas and was told the food here was excellent. I ordered my food for delivery. I ordered a sandwich with avocados as an add-on, and there was so much avocados on the sandwich it overpowered the rest of the sandwich. And I I ordered a sandwich with avocados as an add-on, and there was so much avocados on the sandwich it overpowered the rest of the sandwich. And I also got french fries also got fries. The fries were so salty I could not eat them

We typically have a good experience but today was awful! We walked in for lunch and they were busy- totally fine! We had small children and the only open table was a high top so we told the hostess we would be fine to wait for a booth, no big deal at all. She made a pretty crappy face and said someone should be getting up in a little bit and motioned us to have a seat. Very bothered. 10 minutes or so goes by and this group of guys came in for a table, it was busy so they also had to wait. About 10 more minutes goes by and the hostess gathered menus and walked right passed us to the guys who came in 10 minutes AFTER we did. (This was not a call ahead seating/reservations situation because they do not do that) We walked out after that so I’m not even sure how the food would have been. The first person that greets you in an establishment should be a friendly to ALL person.

First day we came to town we came here to get coffee. The lady was super nice and gave me a great suggestion on what her favorite was (I wish I remembered the combination). I will go back for more of what I call fancy coffee.

The Courthouse Café is one of our favorite spots! The food is always delicious, and Mary and her staff go out of their way to make us feel so well taken care of. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the experience is always excellent—you really can’t go wrong here. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and consistently wonderful meals keep us coming back time and time again.

Our family loves this place! out of town guests always request it and we ALWAYS leave with dessert. I've never had a bad sandwich here. Mary has also made us incredible cakes and cupcakes for events. She goes above and beyond. We will be customers for life!

Ordered lunch at 12:15. Was told 15-20 minute. Showed up at 12:35, paid $87 for the food, was told it will be out in just a minute. After standing there watching the cashiers sit in the counter and chit chat plus seeing people in the kitchen bare handed on their cell phones, we decided to ask about the status of our food at 1:00. The cashier told us “sorry they’re just really busy”. I asked her to please check where we are in line because it had been almost an hour. The 2 girls then went to the back for several minutes, came back and said our order had not even been started yet. I asked why we were told 15 minutes and then told it would be out in “a few minutes” and then no one even checked on it. She said “ya they just got a lot of orders after you called”. After waiting 5 more minutes for a refund we were finally able to leave (without even an apology). And there were a few more people waiting to find out the status of their food as well.
I don’t mind waiting for good food if I’m made aware, but to be told 15 minutes and then 50 minutes later not even have started it - ridiculous. A little communication goes a long way.

The food was amazing!!! The cookies were delish too. We were traveling to Amarillo and needed a place to stop and eat along the way. Happened upon this place in the small town of Portales, and the food did not disappoint. The only thing is I wish the young lady who attended us had a better attitude. The customer service was lacking. Having never been to this establishment, she offered no help. Could've been more helpful and pretended that she wanted to be there and serve, especially spending over $70 for 4 people.
