I had the combination plate: taco/tamale/chicken enchilada with rice and beans; I opted for green chile and I'd have to say I think this is my favorite green chile that I've had so far. Plenty of flavor and nice consistency, it's perfect, imo. I'm very picky about tamales 🫔 and these were great! Again, good flavor, good spice, and the ratio of meat to masa was just right. This place is a hidden gem! I have driven past this restaurant for 30+ years not knowing it was a restaurant. It wasn't until a friend of mine mentioned how good the food was here that made stop and give it a try. They offer American and Mexican, they also make pizza. The restaurant is connected to a club of sorts which offers a full wet bar. If you don't know most people would keep on trucking but this place was actually packed with all different license plates. We dropped by El Monte Carlo for lunch today--our first visit. We had heard good things and it did not disappoint. We had the green chili burger, stuffed sopapillas and tamales. All were fantastic! It will be our first choice for lunch in Questa from now on. The owners and service were also great!💜
