I was given notice at the door that I was not welcome at this restaurant.
I’m not sure what type of illogical thought process you have to posses to tell customers they must be defenseless on your property but that is their right as property owners. And it my right to eat elsewhere. Somewhere safer where I won’t be disarmed.
A note to the property owner who placed the “no gun sign” on the front of the establishment: criminals don’t care. You are only creating a soft target and putting yourself and customers at risk by banning law abiding armed citizens from your premise.

I guess when they get busy they don't pay attention to any new customers. We went in Sunday evening between 5:30-6:00. They were full. No acknowledgement from the cashier that she even saw us come in. (she did) We waited. Employees walked past us multiple times. Some dude was behind the bar chattin and not doing anything. So when the cashier FINALLY acknowledged our presence she went to seat us and then came back and said it would be at least a 30 minute wait. You've GOT to be kidding me. Pathetic service, especially for a small town.
EDITED TO ADD AFTER OWNER RESPONSE: I appreciate the response, at least. I think you have us confused with another couple. We were NOT offered any table in your restaurant. We were starving and would have taken any table offered. Glad you were busy, just wasn't happy with the poor customer service.

We frequently travel the I25 between CO Springs and Albuquerque and for years our stops have never included Raton. We’ve recently added children to the clan so the stops have adjusted and are more frequent. After frantically searching for a place to stop for a road trip break and to feed a hungry family, google maps suggested Bruno’s; and I’m so grateful it did! I called about 30 min out on our way in to see if I could place a call in order for dine-in and was told it would be ready when we arrived. Sure enough, when we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff, a lively and clean atmosphere, and food ready the second we sat down! Pizza was hot and tasty, beer was cold, and restrooms were very clean. A great little gem we will be stopping at during every trip.
