Great burgers and tater tots! We were quickly seated and service was prompt and friendly. Food portions were much larger than we expected for the price. Great value. We were both impressed with how juicy and flavorful the burgers were. Also the veggies were fresh. The dining area is nothing to write home about but the food and service more than mes up for that. Bathrooms clean too.

We went with a party of seven. The service was slow. Our drinks never got refilled. I ordered a Sweet Shop Burger with green chile and fries as my side. The hamburger patty had a good taste and the green chile tasted good. The fries were alright. My boyfriend ordered a stuffed sopapilla with red chile on the side. It was okay...a little bland and the chile wasn't spicy but had some flavor. I doubt I'd eat there again, especially since we don't live in Raton. I've eaten at better places in this small town.

Cool local restaurant, right off the highway, with great food, but on a Sunday, the service was slowwwww. Took ten minutes to get a menu and thirty minutes for the server to take my order, eventhough I was just one person and only wanted biscuits and gravy.

The food was ok. Once we were sat, we waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us to even get a drink order. Once we had ordered, it was another 45 minutes to get our food, which was just ok. Skip the pancakes and get a sopapilla.

The was our first time visiting. We were driving through and wanted authentic New Mexican food. The service was great. The food was flavored so well. My kids loved the pancakes. Thanks for a good breakfast

What a great find on a roadtrip. We were hungry and making a pit stop in Raton as we drove to Colorado.
From the street it’s very humble and walking in we knew this was a great diner/cafe with humble roots. The pictures on the wall were fascinating dating back many years of the Raton history.
Service was awesome and friendly. Plus, they always kept our drinks filled!
I ordered the Deluxe Frito pie. It came with beans, Fritos, cheese (that was perfectly melted) ground beef and green chile sauce. I’m not a big spicy person and our waitress said it wasn’t too hot. Well, she was right on. It was awesome. Just the right sized portion too.
