Stopped to eat here on Friday at noon (during business hours) but it was locked up tight. Didn't notice any signs stating why. Moved on.
Best brisket in the Trinidad/Raton area.

Great Diablo Sandwich with habanero bbq sauce and fried okra
I heard they have a infestation and their cook Frank Rodriguez is on drugs. And your food will come out cold cause the waitresses are lazy.

Stopped here on our way home from Santa Fe. Trust the good reviews, not the exterior of the building. This was the BEST food we ate all week and damn good bbq. Probably the best brisket we have ever had. Great service. Stop here and eat!!

My family of 4 (2 teenagers) stopped here on our travels to Texas. This was a great place we had a mixture of dishes from the combo for 1 with sliced brisket, pulled pork, and ribs) to the fried chicken and a burger. All of the mains were very good and the bbq was definitely well cooked by a pot master. The only issue with the food was the temp of the sides they weren't cold but more lukewarm. Lukewarm Mac and cheese is not my favorite nor my kids but the main dishes made up for it. The other nice thing is they gave my pup a bone to chew on and see absolutely loved it.If you're in Raton or driving through this is an excellent spot to stop and it is a cool building and if it's warm the view outside would be very nice.

Truly Great Ribs & Brisket❣️ Some mixed reviews almost discouraged us, but we’re so glad we ignored them…what a perfect dinner after a long drive across NE & KS & Eastern CO. My pork ribs were cooked to perfection: a bit of char, a bunch of bark, exquisitely tender & tasty inside. The side dishes were really good, too, and while they served only beer and wine, they had a good IPA on tap. Hubby loved his brisket, tho’ I think my ribs were better. ? (One small random complaint: a lady was setting up a sound system… clearly with little knowledge as she blasted the joint several times with the most horrible squawks & shrieking feedback. Likely a one-time thing, but it was not fun!)
Food was pretty good and service was great while we were there.

Fun historic place with exceptional bbq. The turkey and brisket were both so juicy and tender and flavorful. Blueberry bbq sauce was tasty. Watermelon cocktail was delicious!

ABSOLUTRLY AMAZING food and service at a reasinable price. My cheeseburger and hand cut fries were what I've been hungry for for ages, and my husband's chicken fry and mashed potatoes was outstanding. We will stop again when going through Raton!

Good bar b q. Lots of side dishes. Cute inside, bar, and small patio. Great fried okra. We had pulled pork and brisket.good service.
A bar b q spot in their small town of RATON, NM along I-25 business. Easy to access. Plenty of parking. The combo plate for one fed two, with leftovers. Brisket, ribs, links, turkey, pork, lots of sides. Everything we tried was great. Other items on the menu. Very pleased, friendly owner and staff. Highly recommend.
Met family for lunch. The service was excellent! The food was good-a little salty for my taste, but it could have just been me, I didn't say anything, so by no means too much.I will go again.
