LJS/A&W is a new location. Girl at register did not know the menu, sides, didn’t have a recommendation. She let us know it was her 3rd day. There is a stuffed animal on the counter, but no stock for sale. We asked, they had to get the manager. The store smells of Long John Silvers, not a burger place. Food was mid.

'The older gentleman at the register was a bit rude and thinks everyone understands his particular job. It was out first time here and wasn't real sure if a lot of things. And when we asked questions he was rude and answered in a way like we should know the answer. Very unhappy from that point on. We finally get our orders placed and go sit done. It was FREEZING inside the restaurant. And saying 'freezing' is not an understatement. My party (5 people) all had very visible goosebumps. I watched people going to their cars for sweaters and cardigans, and still sat there hugging themselves to get warm. We made 2 orders for food, neither was was correct. Certain family members had to drink water, because of the lack of non-coke products and other choices of no sugar drinks. More than 1 family member. cannot drink coke and cannot have sugar bever ages. Makes for a lot of frustration. However, I DO think you should open an A&W restaurant in the southeast side of Albuquerque. Will we go back? Possibly, if we are in that area again.

Highly disappointed how do you run out of the one thing you sell the most of ( root beer ) poor management this isn’t the first time I drive all the way up here and mind you I waited at least six minutes before ordering for them to say there out. And I drove from alb wasted my gas.⛽️

Hadn't been to A&W in about 10 yearsI enjoyed my Papa Burger. The waffle fries, on the other hand, looked like scraps. My wife's were more appealing. Our order was out before we finished filling our drinks. The dining room could have used a cleaning.
ordered cheese burger combo and clams. store forgot to cook and put clams in the bag. otherwise everything was ok.

Totally clean. Waffle fries cold but they remade them. Cashier didn't tell me what size drink or side came with the combo. Didn't know the price to upside it. Didn't know the difference between the double cheese burger and the papa double burger. Burger was barely warm. Lobster bites were fresh and hot. Cost was $20 for one and 8 0z drink was $2.50. No menu to show children's choices. When I asked the cashier said she could see it. Child wouldn't eat not knowing what he was getting.

I went there yesterday (2-17-25) after we went to the Expo flea market to get a mattress and the food was delicious and I liked the root beer float and I only been here once before yesterday and it was a long time ago so I don't remember when LOL but I'll be back here soon. 🙂

The A&W in Rio Rancho is very nice. The food was hot and made quickly. The service was amazing and the woman working was very friendly. Will definitely go again. I recommend the root beer floats!
