Always a solid choice for fish and chips. The waffle fries are really good and the hush puppies are always a solid pick. The fish is by far my favorite but I also enjoy the shrimp and the service at this location was great. My boyfriend also loves the root-beer float and always gets one!

I recently stopped by Long John Silver’s and ordered the Shrimp & Fish Platter with waffle fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, a crab cake, and extra fish. Here’s my experience:

The Food:

Fish: Absolutely loved it! The crispy golden batter on the outside and the flaky, tender fish on the inside were perfect. Definitely the highlight of my meal.

Hush Puppies: Solid choice—cooked well and had a nice flavor.

Shrimp: Pretty good! Fried nicely and tasted fresh.

Waffle Fries: Didn’t really care for them. They were a bit too hard for my taste. I personally prefer steak fries, so I’d go with a different side next time.

Crab Cake: It was just okay. I wasn’t a big fan, but it wasn’t terrible either.

Coleslaw: Unfortunately, I didn’t receive my coleslaw, which was disappointing since I was looking forward to it.

Drive-Thru Experience:
One downside to my visit was the drive-thru layout. When I was pulling up to the window, I hit the edge of the curb, which stuck out more than expected. It was kind of a surprise and not the best design—definitely something to watch out for if you’re going through the drive-thru.

Final Thoughts:
Overall, the fish was fantastic, and I’d definitely come back for that. The shrimp and hush puppies were good, but I’ll skip the crab cake and waffle fries next time. Just wish I got my coleslaw! The drive-thru could use some design improvements, but other than that, it was a decent visit.

Would I return? Yes—but I’d double-check my order and be extra careful in the drive-thru!

P.S. I was telling one of my friends about the experience he did say the curve was awkward and recommend to try the root beer next time if I go in . Cold mug . I was like hellyeah . Haven't had a decent cold glass rootbear in ages

I was very disappointed with my food that day, and I love LJS. Half the hushpuppies were too hard to eat. The chicken was more batter than anything and tasted old. I've eaten at this location, so maybe they were just having an off day.

Got my family of four food took less than 10 minutes they got it to me super fast and fresh stuff was amazing I highly recommend this Long John silver's

I am updating this review because it's been a few years since I went to this Long John silver's. I recently went to the store, it was extremely well kept and updated. The store actually looked beautiful, they have stopped serving that terrible kraft tartar sauce, and went back to the original tartar sauce! That's truly the best part of everything. It is clean, The food was great, the prices were great. It was overall an amazing dining experience.
10 out of 10 would go back.
