I've been looking for an actual Mexican restaurant in New Mexico and I've actually found one that compares to the ones in California! My only nitpick is that the corn tortillas is not a oily as I am use to but I prefer taco tacos.I need to ask if they have picked picked vegetables next time. I really miss those.

I was running late for work one morning so I left home without grabbing breakfast which put me in a bad mood. Once I finally had time to grab some grub in the afternoon I went to TacoMex. I ordered sopes and chicken nuggets with fries. Cashier was polite and the food was cooked quickly. I opened the take out box and found dinosaur shaped nuggets! It wasn’t advertised as such on the menu so it surprised me and put a smile on my face. They were freaking delicious! I highly recommend this place.

Foods good, but they close a half an hour early everytime I get there. It says 6 on weekdays but they close at 5:30 so be there at 5 i guess. Very disappointing.

Like I didn't have enough of the street tacos from yesterday, I had a craving for them today. My wife and I decided to try tacos in the Rio Rancho area. We found two taco trucks off of Southern road and both were closed at the time. I discovered a restaurant right next door to El Paisano market called TacoMex. We thought, let's give them a try. They had multiple combination plates, shrimp dishes, Gordita, Torta and Tacos. I couldn't believe it, they had a longer list of different types of tacos. You get 5 tacos for one low price depending on which meat you get for all the tacos. My wife ordered her usual type which are Asada tacos. Now, I was very much excited that they had a variety and didn't see the words "same meat for all 5 tacos". I ordered 2 Al Pastor, 2 Buche (stomach & cheeks) and 1 Cabeza (head). The waitress couldn't believe I was going to eat 15 tacos then she stopped in mid conversation and stated no problem to me. My wife pointed to the sign about the same meat for all 5 tacos but the waitress was okay with giving me what I wanted at the time. It was a dream come true having to experience what a Buche and Cabeza taco tasted like. All the tacos come with onions and cilantro on them. The Buche taco tasted what I suspected as having a spongy and chewy texture to it. The Cabeza taco tasted something similar to a Barbacoa taco. Not what I was expecting. The Al Pastor taco was sweeter in flavor instead of it being tangy as I experienced yesterday from a Taco Truck. All in all, the experience was awesome. Definitely, a hole in the wall restaurant that you should try out.

Good tacos, good menudo. Service is ehhh (front counter) The cooks are awesome though. Lol. Price is alright considering it's not on a truck, it's in a brick and mortar.

This place is getting too expensive, It compares with a top dining restaurant in price and the food quality is average. On my last visit they forgot 2 burritos on on a order that only had 6 items and I paid 90 dollars on and when we complained they got mad and rudely told us to go back and pick up the refund. I might try another location

Chicharron tacos hands down the best I've had. Carne Asada were tasty as well. If you are in Rio Rancho, this is a must try. I had 3 tacos, my husband had 6, they are mini tacos, $1.50 each.
