Excellent food and great service. I’d say it’s the best breakfast spot in the area yet I’ve only eaten here. Can’t say enough good things about our dining experience, absolutely delicious. This is a must try

Stop over to have lunch on the way to Ruidoso. Friendly staff, busy place, plenty of parking, good food.

Cowboy Café in Roswell, New Mexico is a cozy, cowboy-style breakfast spot that really impressed me. I ordered the French toast breakfast and also tried the chicken fried bacon with over-medium eggs and hashbrowns. Everything was cooked just right and full of flavor. It felt like a true homestyle meal, and the homemade pies looked amazing too. After traveling all over the country, this place stands out as one of the best breakfast spots I’ve come across. If you’re anywhere nearby, it’s definitely worth stopping in. I’d even say it’s worth the drive.

Our server was nice, but there was Hispanic lady with short brown hair and head band who skipped seating us multiple times, to seat people she knew despite us having been waiting there for 30 minutes. We waited nearly one hour to be seated and get our order in. By the time our food came out, all the people who walked in after us by a long shot who she had sat before us finished their meal and left! Very disappointed. To top it all off no one even apologized or acknowledged it.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. I ordered the Cowgirl - 2 eggs (over-medium), extra crispy hasbrowns, bacon, and sourdough toast.
What I got was 2 eggs barely over-easy, not crispy hasbrowns, burnt bacon, and basically sourdough bread.

The first thing I noticed was the way under toasted sourdough, so I moved it to the edge of the table. Not once did any of the FOUR employees working the front, stop to ask about it. Then came the rest of the plate … I took a few bites, but then moved it next to the under toasted sourdough.

This place has maybe 9 tables (seats, maybe 30 customers) … there were four ladies working the front. Not once did they come by, ask if we needed anything or inquire about the basically full plate of food sitting at the edge of the table … not even when we were brought the bill.

Awful food.
Awful service.
Will not return.
